Maybe i'm seeing things...but doesn't Roach have a better average and also outperformed Southee when both of them were on the same tracks earlier this year?

This is so weird.
So what if it was just 18 months. He was ****ing awesome for those 18 months. For those 18 months he was one of the best bowlers in the entire planet, out of 7 billion ****ing people.

Let's make it logical for you.
ITT: People rated Southee as the second best new ball bowler behind Steyn, in a period of time where his statistics didn't show it.
Consequently, people have made: "Oh, Southee and Boult are the best new ball pairing" until possibly the recent Australian tour.
Thus: Pointing out how much hype a reasonably **** player got is no different to any other critique in this forum.
Having this thread appear in a "Southee vs Anderson" thread where people are arguing the merits of Southee and bringing it back up to show how over-hyped he got, that's comedy.
Why people get so emotional over players being critiqued, when they're more than happy to throw praise on them is beyond me. Get over yourself.

Over the last few months I've gone from being annoyed at Blocky to now actually being somewhat concerned for him. I feel like he's carrying a lot of anger. Reading his posts makes me uncomfortable.
