Predicting a draw here, but the fact that they're set to get 1st innings points means that the race for 1st will be very interesting over the last four rounds.

Intriguing tactical decisions in store for my opponent. Does he gamble on a morning collapse and declare overnight for the win, does he play it safe and bat until lunch (400?) or does he just leave the declare option alone and wait for Dove to ground himself to a quadruple ton?

Hoping for seven points, anyway - which would be handy in the battle for second-place monies. (150k not to be sneezed at. Plus, it theoretically means I'm ranked at least eighth in the WI FC pickings.)

bollocks, messed up my gate receipts, Bushey Rangers 6-4 in their second innings after scoring 12 in their first innnings and my 450-0
Despite being 11-6 in their second innings at the close of play on day one, 11775 people turned up for the second day  Bushey Rangers fought hard and went on to make 16 in their second innings.

That was a textbook forward defensive shot by Reet in every way except that he missed the ball which cannoned onto his pad. Plumb.

Took about half an hour longer than it should...

Yet another grandstand finish here at the NCMG.

Day 1. Withington bat almost the whole day, finishing on an agonising 356/10.

Day 2. Batty Boys, having stayed out of trouble at the end of day 1, bat out the day very slowly, finishing on 291/3.

Day 3. Withington come out all guns blazing, and blow out the opposition -- 308/10. The reply started positively, with batsmen set a bit more attacking than usual. The plan was to get a quick 200 then declare, hopefully allowing the bowlers 40 overs to avoid the draw.

It's worked out better than expected...just! My lot have collapsed from 140/3 to 157/10 in 50 overs -- bottom line is that Batty Boys need 206 runs for the win, and will have 50 overs (plus or minus a couple) to get them.

All four results are very much possible!
