First century for Bartlett. Bit like Gillespie's double against Bangladesh, but I'll take it.

seveal superstars v Jaffna Jets: Jets win by 5 wickets

seveal superstars 4/289(50)
Ellepola 153*(142), Chanderpaul 70(78), Sishayi 1/52(10)

Jaffna Jets 5/291(39.3)
Obeysekera 106(90), Gunatilleke 130*(97), Blakeman 37*(23)

Might look like I smashed them, but i got lucky there. We were 4/41 when Obeysekera and Gunatilleke came together.

I played two quality players to try and make sure I won this match. Both failed pretty bad Sishay only got one wicket and bowled when they had their big partnership between Ellepola and Chanderpaul. Ellis opened the batting and only got 5 runs. My two proficient players also failed Granville 1/57 and Evans got 1 run.

The respectable and competents won this match. Priyantha was my most economical bowler with 0/48(10). As you can see above Obeysekera (resp bat) and Gunatilleke (comp bat) won us the game with the bat.

Doesn't make much difference TBH. There probably more effective with the new ball, then bowling in the middle orders in terms of wicket taking. Just ask Mike about where Hook takes most his wickets.

Just broke the 4th wicket partnership of 121. Didn't think this match would be this hard.

End of Over 8: 14-7, runrate=1.75, reqrunrate=8.74 (380-1)
Hardy 4-1-7-4
Yeadon* 0 (1 balls)
Karthikeyan 2 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Walsh c. Nolan b. Hardy 0 (FOW: 10/7)

Bartlett left stranded on 195*, Gibson made 51* but didn't look like he'd get there after a pathetic start to the last 10 overs. Hardy and Marrison now sharing the wickets and improving their poor seasonal averages.

All over - Hardy takes a hattrick to bowl them out for 17, finishing with 7/7.

Spinning Jennies? They were a pretty good team in Div II a few seasons ago, with an attack consisting of FIVE spinners! Don't know if they still do that, but their basic plan was to win every home match through the cunning use of a dusty pitch. Think it worked in the early days, but they very much got found out and, as other teams' seamers reached high skill levels, the Jennies just couldn't compete.

Given their name, this is brilliantly apt. :)

Easy win for me today on a TIE with a couple of key players rested. Looking forward to the OD crunch matches in a fortnight; two matches will (I reckon) pretty much decide whether I auto-promote, get a playoff or end up in a NRR-fight for first place.

Jamee - cheers for the challenge but I think I'm going to avoid friendlies until the BT cup starts; have a stinker of a schedule coming up and my main players are getting a bit knackered. Will have to postpone the inevitable Bardle-fest to another day. :)

I had my first win in FC this season during the week. The big performers were keeper batsmen Delgado with twin centuries (136* and139*) and Kiwi seamer Schutte with 10/51(36). That win moves me up to 6th spot. I got a double header against side coming 5th next two week. So I still have a slim chance of coming 4th, 22 points off so far. I drew my match against the side coming 4th earlier in the season.

OD wise we had a tie against the side coming first in my league. They rested their top players. So we missed out on a chance to win. Schutte (5/34 off 10) and Delgado (139 off 121) were the key men again. That tie leaves us in 3rd spot and in a pretty good position to try and push for 2nd spot.

OD is still going to be the big focus for us. But I'm going to try and nick a couple more wins in FC and see where we can finish. Should be interesting to see at the back end of the season, how teams are going PFL wise. All my starting XI is energetic or invigorated. They should all be near sublime by Tuesday FC match though. Then him playing a bot on Friday so I can rest everyone.

Match lasted 15 overs, imagine the disappointment of the fans. Took 2.4 overs to chase their total, really would have liked to bat first

Lower Order: abysmal feeble
Seam Bowling: superb masterful
Spin Bowling: superb wonderful

Made 319/4 on a flat pitch (centuries to Cuss and Ashton) but his miraculous batsman scored 172* so they got home with three overs and three wickets to spare.

The actually play with 3 spinners now, and 2 semi decent fast bowlers. They had quite some luck as my batting collapsed, had i faced the full 50 overs i might have had a chance. None the less they won it with less than 3 overs to spare.

Bobisback

International Regular
Welcome to bobisback CG for the match between Four Pillars and Poor Fillers and LOreal-Zat!.

We can tell you that Four Pillars and Poor Fillers won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloud day.
3 wickets and ill be happy.

EDIT:

1.6 W Hartburn to Calderwood
A bit of reverse swing and he tears the middle stump out. Fantastic bowling!!

A big $275 wage monster

Top 2 are ****, middle order are all gun. Im thinking 150-200 is chaseable here. Doubt i can restrict them though.
