Willetts pop frees up a net, which will go to Sishayi as fielding net for the time being. Also going to turn Murali stamina net into a fielding net. With the depth at the club, stamina hasn't been a big issue yet, so i'm going to work on performance and get some secondaries up.

Was also expecting Jeithoon to pop in cons, but i guess i shouldn't be greedy. His also 2-3 weeks away from sensational. Coming along nicely now.

Murali is our first remarkable bat as well. One remarkable bat and three remarkable plus bowlers. We are starting to get a bit bowler heavy. Don't think thats a bad thing with FC, as you need a side that can take 20 wickets cheaply to be good at FC.

You could probably get a better deal if you were willing to wait, but the past couple of weeks I haven't seen a decent 17yo bowler on the market for a decent price.

It'd be great if you did though, I want to bid on this guy.

Got my team almost back to full fitness thanks to a run of easy matches, but now facing a couple of tough FC games in a row that are likely to define my FC season. Both better teams than mine on paper, but one of them seems to be running his stars into the ground. Could be interesting.

Hi, I've been a bit remiss in updating you all on The Gurs' progress over the last few weeks. Got dumped out of the Cup at the 4th round stage, under-estimating my opponents, and resting most of my bowling attack.

But going well in both leagues, with only one defeat in each, leaving me 1st in FC and 2nd in OD. 2nd in my Div.III OD league is particularly pleasing, although six of the sides are so closely matched that I'm just as likely to end up 6th as I am to win it - Still survival in both forms would meet our objectives this season.

No pops this week, although Noon hit Qual batting last week. Pleased to see Andy's Berger hit Sup, as it means that Akhtar will follow for me in three weeks' time.

Is there a CW Cup thread yet? I'm up for it.

Oh, and Earlobe, if you're really interested in that North guy, then be aware that Victoria Drivers are one of these sides who buy at the top of the sub-levels and flog them on as soon as they pop, so he's very likely to be bottom of the range in some or all of his skills.

Later, Trev

My two trainees have their first primary pops, so they'll both be pushing proficient by the end of the season. Woods should become my first player with respectable stamina next week - he'll get to superb stamina week 1 of next season, and then the stamina net will go to Kepler.

whenuapai ease through to round 6 of the nz cup with 109 run win. another big innings from tim morrison set things up nicely. our round six opponent should be easily beaten, unless i do an adamc, which i don't have any intentions of doing so.

Does anybody have/can anyone remember the formula to calculate how big your ground should be according to how many members you have?

Oh yeh, and I've just found the CW Cup thread and posted on there. Sorry, because I was still in the Cup, and because there'd been no mention of it on here, I didn't think to look for one!

And 4 energetic bowlers ahead of the FC clash with league No 2 Blue Hoops, who, fortunately for me, doesn't manage his bowler's PFLs: his 18yo is drained but opens the bowling. As an added bonus, he's destructive. His other bowlers are fresh, low, and invigorated - the spinner (duh.) Unfortunately, he has one remarkable batsman and one pretty good keeper who are averaging 270+ this year, and they are fit. Declaration cricket on the cards.

My 19yo allrounder is invigorated so will merely play as a relief bowler in the first innings.
