FC match is turning out to be a lot closer than it should be:

Asterix XI 300 (84.5 overs)
Cuss 78, Howland 50, Ashton 44, Lancaster 40*

Rovers Town 157 (60.2)
Lancaster 3-41, Barton 3-54

Asterix XI 205 (62.3)
Howland 97, Watkins 45, Lancaster 43*

Rovers Town 1-49 (11)
Lancaster 1-28

They still need a further 300 to win which should be beyond their reach, pretty underwhelming effort from my batsmen though.

Cruising here. Was slightly worried as he has an exceptional spin attack, but not to worry anymore.

End of Over 41: 220-0, runrate=5.37
Cunningham 6-0-33-0
Harris* 129 (129 balls)
Kanelo 82 (117 balls)

BARNES OUT
End of Over 50: 351-3, runrate=7.02
Wilson 10-0-92-1
Conn* 2 (2 balls)
Coburn 47 (42 balls)
Last Wicket: Keane b. Wilson 188 (FOW: 348/3)

Keane fell with 3 balls left in the innings, sadly 3 runs short of his HS. Fair knock though, should win this comfortably.

Kanelo putting the crowd to sleep aws.

Kanelo* 133 (143 balls)

End of Over 8: 23-1, runrate=2.88, reqrunrate=4.00 (190-10)
Carstens 4-1-9-1
Gravey* 2 (9 balls)
Wilkinson 14 (17 balls)
Last Wicket: Allison b. Carstens 6 (FOW: 14/1)

Need Gravey out asap, dont need the RRR getting much higher tbh.

EDIT: That was quick

8.1 W North to Gravey
Gravey gets hit right in front on the back foot. North appeals and the finger goes up in an instant.

Easy enough win in the end, sends me clear on points at the top of the table with most of the best teams in the league dispatched. Also looks like one of my biggest rivals might get upset today; only a BT-collapse can save him now.

The Red Devils 206-10 (46.0o) - Piercy 3-35, Oleary 3-43
Beard XI 207-2 (42.2o) - Bromby 95, Liebenberg 56, Platt 50*

So, this is it. I've decided to resign from battrick - not because I don't enjoy it, but partly because I'm going to be travelling quite a lot in the next year or so and don't want to be worrying about whether I've set my orders correctly or not and partly because with all the problems the game is having at the moment, I don't see it becoming any less time consuming.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Have got the ball rolling on bids.

IMO I don't think you should quit completely. I know it can be hard managing when you're travelling around, but with all the money you're going to rake in from selling these players I think you should use all the cash to buy a gun player and then just set and forget orders for weeks on end. (Y)

Otherwise, it's been great dude. Have enjoyed reading the ups and downs of your club. Hope you return soon :)
