try and install firefox.

i recall the time they blocked battrick at work, and the confused despairing expression on michael's face when he realised i had got around his cunning plan to make me do more work. more power to the people i say.
We can't install stuff...

Playing my second XI in the BT20's, and everyone will be on very attacking. Should be interesting, to say the least.

Actually, going to go a reverse line up as well in a couple of the matches (Y)

End of Over 41: 142-5, runrate=3.46

Jongikhaya 25 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Longthorn b. Ogrady 54 (FOW: 130/5)

Should wrap this one up shortly.

End of Over 8: 38-2, runrate=4.75, reqrunrate=1.00 (79-10)
Metcalf 4-0-20-0
Stroud* 22 (24 balls)
Appleyard 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Ludlow c. Garvey b. Mullen 0 (FOW: 31/2)

Hamlin took 5-15 & Verhoeven 3-6 to bundle the opposition out for 79. I decided to GFI, I need to make sure I won this match, and the NRR boost wont hurt.

Brackenhurst - 396/3 off 50 overs
Bardle 128 (88)
Nott 101 (98)
Brazier 64* (46)
Steyn 48 (43)
Browne 40* (26)
Hlengiwe 2/78 (10)

defeated

ML5 - 35/10 off 11 overs
Giscard 13* (14)
Solanki 6/19 (5)
Smart 3/13 (5)
Copeland 1/1 (1)
Bardle 9 catches

Really happy with that. Bardle had a mammoth game and it was nice to see Nott make runs. Bit worried that without training Solanki, he's taking 6-fers. What could have been? :(

Played 8 of my 2nd XI today, with 3 1st XI batsman in an attempt to grab some respectability from what I knew would be a thumping. Wasn't to be as those 3 'premier' batsmen were all bowled out for <20. We made 69 (:naughty:) and they chased it down without losing a wicket.

No on both counts, I'm afraid.

Opposition are fighting back a bit in the boring middle overs, after a decent opening spell from Pead and Oleary accounted for all but one of their best batsmen. He's still in and is definitely a danger, though. Hopefully one of my spinners can nick him out on a dusty pitch before he gets to the business end of the innings.

End of Over 24: 79-4, runrate=3.29
Gill 2-0-8-0
Howe* 46 (68 balls)
Furlong 13 (36 balls)
Last Wicket: Stannage c & b. Oleary 4 (FOW: 40/4)

Miserly but unpenetrative (as it were) bowling has constricted the runs but still let the opposition get to the death overs with a few wickets in hand. Not keen on chasing anything over 200 with my slightly brittle batting lineup, so fingers crossed for some quick wickets.

End of Over 40: 140-5, runrate=3.50
Piercy 10-1-32-0
Grabb* 18 (34 balls)
Howe 83 (125 balls)
Last Wicket: Furlong c & b. Gill 13 (FOW: 81/5)

Ah, and there goes Howe as I type. Bonza.

Edit: in reply to 154, my batsmen are completely ignoring their defensive orders and going at 7 an over, while shedding wickets. 49-2 off 7 overs, and if another wicket goes down it'll be a bit sticky to say the least.
