Trail by 268 runs. (Sludge 501-4 dec)
Welsby 8-1-21-0
Caldwell* 62 (102 balls)
Sutton 36 (77 balls)

Last Wicket: Gardiner c. Sayce b. Coe 5 (FOW: 27/3)

Caldwell and Sutton are fighting bravely in an attempt to take this to a final day for another £50k. Good to see Caldwell performing well - I think I might persevere with him as an opener instead of at no.3.

Looking good - these guys are a one-bowler team. Coe has taken 12 out of 14 wickets.

I have to say my team have played two days of poor cricket infront of their own fans to find ourselves in this position now and with the weather forecast as it is then we could be in for a really difficult run chase on day three:dry:

The Heath CC: 110 (53.5) Sutton 44

The Heath CC (following on): 232/5 (73) Caldwell 72, Sutton 64, Bartlett 53*

A much improved batting performance second time around has secured us the full three days' worth of gate receipts. Really pleased with Caldwell, Sutton and Bartlett, who were the only three batsmen to make it into double figures in the first innings as well.

Sold my 5th bowler and had my eye on another chap to replace and some gimp bid way more than they were worth so didn't get a replacement.

B-b-b-bot bashing this week in FC. Just two days' receipts, but with supporter confidence a bit knocked after defeats in both OD and cup, it was only £50k wasted. Yet another very tight match on Friday, against the team who came third in my league last year. Think a win is pretty unlikely, but I'm going to GFI anyway. Booyah.

In actual cricket news, I find it very funny that Robin Uthappa is worth twice as much as Ricky Ponting. 100% of FACT.

FC match turning out nicely..resting most of my bowling attack and a couple of batsmen. Made 450-6 dec with Howell hitting 165* after we were 153-5. They declared on 203-6 for some reason. Young Hyams took 2-24 on debut and they are 140-7 in their second knock following on with Islam 5-15. Should finish it off early in the morning and get the 3 days gate takings. Should cruise my FC league which means i'll be able to do a lot of squad rotation to keep up my fitnesses

Awesome start from my bowlers, especially Verhoeven (5-0-15-3). If Hamlin or Groves can get me another wicket in the next 4 overs I should be able to restrict them to under 120.

End of Over 16: 55-5, runrate=3.44
Hamlin 3-0-21-0
Hinshelwood* 11 (20 balls)
Zakaria 23 (30 balls)

Last Wicket: Poke c. Moloto b. Groves 4 (FOW: 23/5)

EDIT: I would've been happy with 1 wicket, but I guess 3 is acceptable :p

End of Over 18: 55-8, runrate=3.06
Hamlin 4-1-21-2
Alfred* 0 (0 balls)
Roberts 0 (4 balls)

Solid, if unspectacular start. Hopefully I can make at least 280 from this position and move .into the top 3 of my OD league
