23.4 W Mohan to Kepler
Kepler is not happy with that. Everything was wrong. It pitched outside leg and he got an inside edge, but the umpire's given him out. He might get a fine for waiting so long before walking off.
Nuts, gone for 65 from 68 balls. Good innings but could have done with him going on to get his third century in three games against these guys.

Borderliners double-header continues tonight (at home again). Might GFI as all my players are above energetic bar Dissanayake (invigorated) and I have a pretty easy week next week (bot in FC, newly-promoted team in OD). 8|

Jaffna Jets v Ranatunga's Runners

Ranatunga's Runners 8/258(50)
Bakmeewewa 126(119), Muralitharan 4/35(10), Willetts 2/73(10)

Jaffna Jets 4/262(50)
Quintin 83(106), Muralitharan 75(85)

Jaffna Jets Ranatunga's Runners
Top Order: remarkable remarkable
Middle Order: proficient competent
Lower Order: woeful abysmal
Seam Bowling: wonderful wonderful
Spin Bowling: remarkable respectable
Fielding: mediocre feeble

Looks like we both GFI, so happy with that. Won off the last ball in the end after Ellis wanted to be a glory hog. The story of the day for Muralitharan, such a gun these days. Time for Canning to move over for some young blood IMO. Jeithoon was econmical but only took one wicket (1/26). Still not ready to bowl his over straight out.

Oppo pulling it back a bit after being 29/4, but I buried my weaker bowlers in the middle overs, so am hoping for some more wicket-taking soon:

End of Over 28: 103-4, runrate=3.68
Piercy 4-0-13-0
Esterhuizen* 37 (72 balls)
Sekgoma 32 (48 balls)
Last Wicket: Clemence b. Oleary 19 (FOW: 29/4)

Was joking tbh. Probably looking for quality/quality as remarkable/remarkable go for about 7 mil it seems. Mind you could always get a cheap remarkable with lower secondaries. But that would defeat the purpose of selling Gratton, as he would have been that in a year.

Haha, can't believe you're in Div 3 tbh.

My league sledging in both FC and OD is so inactive  I mean, if I can't have a decent sledging board, then I want someone I actually know and can have a rivalry with. Alas... no one.
I've got a pretty good league sledging, Gooric, teamleader, dezza, downy. All of them (bar Gooric) are pretty reasonable and then there's Gooric who everyone hates. Though he seems pretty sensible when he's not throwing a ridiculous opinion around.

No the don't. They might have last season, but the listing fee has extremely slowed down the market. I'd reckon you could get a good remarkable for about 6mill now, wonderful for about 7. The problem is if you list them for 7mill, everyone tries to bid on the relatively similar bowler who got listed for 0 and ignores your player.

It's sure made negotiating the market a little tougher.

Caldwell and Gardiner are doing their best to win this match on their own - awesome display from them on an uneven wicket against fairly decent bowlers (apart from Roberts)

End of Over 43: 239-2, runrate=5.56
Rizwanullah 8-1-46-0
Gardiner* 54 (66 balls)
Caldwell 102 (103 balls)

Last Wicket: Kepler lbw b. Mohan 65 (FOW: 135/2)

Gardiner took about 20 balls to get off the mark so he's doing very well, considering. Last 10 overs have started well - 34 runs from the first 3 overs. Could be on for 300 at this rate

Still fighting to kick this guy's a*** for the first time

Twickenham won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Flat

End of Over 44: 261-6, runrate=5.93
Omeara 7-0-38-2
Nkosinathi* 0 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Cooper b. Omeara 43 (FOW: 260/6)

End of Over 50: 305-5, runrate=6.10
Rizwanullah 10-1-61-3
Gibson* 20 (13 balls)
Talbot 5 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Gardiner c. Willetts b. Rizwanullah 87 (FOW: 297/5)

Really, really pleased with that - I'd be surprised if it's not enough as their bowling is stronger than their batting and Woods on attacking should really enjoy the uneven wicket. Caldwell takes the plaudits for 109 from 107 balls, but Gardiner (87) and Kepler (65) made big contributions as well.

In my match, Crunchie are 276/5 with 6 balls left. That actually marks a bit of a recovery -- last I looked, they were 162/0 from 30 overs.

It feels like a _long_ time since my team chased down anything over 250, so I'm not overly hopeful.

Got this in the bag

End of Over 2: 3-2, runrate=1.50, reqrunrate=6.31 (305-5)
Turner 1-0-2-0
Weaver* 2 (5 balls)
Roberts 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Brownfield Run Out 0 (FOW: 3/2)

Edit:End of Over 13: 65-4, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=6.51 (305-5)
Woods 7-0-33-3
Willetts* 23 (16 balls)
Geary 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Weaver lbw b. Woods 30 (FOW: 65/4)

First over in BT cricket for Prutton and he takes two wickets in three balls, including Willetts, who is a wk/batsman with a wage of over £17k!

End of Over 15: 73-6, runrate=4.87, reqrunrate=6.66 (305-5)
Prutton 1-0-5-2
Steel* 1 (1 balls)
Rizwanullah 0 (1 balls)

Amazing how a team needing 4 an over after scoring at less than 4 an over suddenly starts smashing the ball so I have very little time to inflict a BT collapse in the last 10.

Same BT bollocks as always - exceptional-phenomenal destructive medium pacer doing jack on a cloudy day on a green pitch after the standard BT collapse in my innings.

Erp - am still comfortable on the run rate, but as Bromby falls it's down to Janes and my lesser (read: "not actual") batsmen to bring me home. Still only semi-squeaky bum time, but one more wicket and I'll start to get nervous...

End of Over 37: 175-3, runrate=4.73, reqrunrate=3.00 (213-7)
Nurse 9-0-47-1
Janes* 32 (33 balls)
Alshaun 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Bromby b. Nurse 89 (FOW: 175/3)

Edit: All over! A debut Div IV victory for the Beards. Sweet.

And that's the end of the match. Beard XI won by 7 wickets.
Perminators 213-7
Beard XI 216-3

Edit edit: best ever ratings, too. :)

Top Order: superb
Middle Order: respectable
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: quality
Spin Bowling: strong
Fielding: feeble
