Doing alright in the chase although I would have liked to have had a few more wickets left.

End of Over 79 (1 runs). oz fans XI: 322-9, runrate=4.08
Trail by 154 runs. (Ratch's XI 476-10)
Saunders 15-2-54-0
Olowe* 152 (207 balls)
Stevens 10 (43 balls)

Great innings from Olowe who opened the batting.

I'm currently trailing by 637 runs, which is fine as long as they bat through to at least the end of the day.

End of Over 72 (5 runs). Tawonga Tigers: 286-10, runrate=3.97
Trail by 86 runs. (*** Pistols 372-10)
Hunukumbura 18-0-74-4
Murphy* 6 (9 balls)

FFS. First time I've gone behind.

Athlai

Not Terrible
Finished the day on 666-4, hmm.

Saunders 327*
Tiisetso 116*
Thorpe 88
Dickson 73

While the bot was 22-10

Heywood 10-7-8-7
Roberts 10-3-14-2
(run out)

High score of 10 by a player called Dyer. Dire indeed.

Can Saunders reach 400? Can the bot amass more than 20 runs? Quite likely as my bowlers are now all set to very defensive to try and make this last till the third day.

Expecting a lot of runs from my young keeper when he comes in and also from Roberts the teams genuine all-rounder.

Olowe* 175 (235 balls)

All out. Great last partnership though to get me to 360+ and maximum batting points. Should be able to hold out for a draw from here.

Both of my openers got 500+ each which is a bit disappointing as I wanted to use one of them in both games next week. Stupid decision to put him high in the order. Apart from that I'm happy, I'll get 3 days gate receipts and win by an innings and 1000 runs.

So glad I don't have bots in my FC league - they're bad enough in OD but it just gets ridiculous when you rack up 1000 runs and then bowl them out twice for less than 50.

Anyway, moaning aside, I'm looking forward to today's play. My ideal scenario would be to bat at 6 an over until tea, which would get us up to around 500, when I'll declare and hopefully have around 4 sessions to bowl Jacksons Giants out for the second time. Not enough time to bowl them out on the second day and miss attendance money, but plenty of time to win the game.

Kepler to score big today, hopefully. Reckon he'll beat his previous highest score of 146*.

TBH there isn't much difference between bots and half the real times in SL. They are all about as crap as each other. Before they changed the PFLs for bot players, a lot o bot teams were win Div 4 and Div 3. Now atleast some of these crappy sides have a chance of winning the odd match. *Looking in Thamba's direction* :p

Very different from England then. I didn't play a single bot in VI last season - I played a lot of brand new sides, and teams that weren't being managed properly, or whose manager hadn't logged on since getting his team, but at least the players had decent pfl and form so were making a game of it. I won every match, but there was an element of realism in all of them - I think the least I bowled anyone out for was 99, and I never broke 400 in an innings.

I played a bot for the first time last week, and quite enjoyed it in terms of the boost it gave my morale and members, and the fact that I was able to rest players for bigger games to come. But it would suck to beat a bot and get all these perks, only to be facing a bot in the next game, and the one after that as well.

I think it'd be good if performances against bots didn't count towards averages. I don't know if that would be possible, but it would help make averages and records a lot more realistic.

That's not a bad idea -- how about sticking it on the Dev sledging board?

In BT-England, it very much depends on your league -- I think the lower-numbered VI leagues are fairly full, but the later ones have their share of bots. One of my friends, has only one or two human opponents in his league. I might have played a bot or two in the cup, but that's all.

I'm coasting along at 347/2, leading by 233 on first innings. McGregor on 120, Reed on 94 -- can he get his century before Sandwith declares at 362?

I'm hoping to bowl the opposition out in the remaining time today, thus giving my lot a much-needed rest day.

DAMMIT! The declaration came as late as 369, and even then Reed could only make it to 99. Grrrrr.

8 overs before lunch -- a couple of wickets would be lovely! And I'm going to lunch -- Japanese/Korean on the company :)
