Good pops. I've been waiting a while for Mclaren's consistency pop. Ballpark figure - how much would I get for Mclaren?

Ricky Mclaren - 17 yo, BT Rating=6,025
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, lively
A steady player with feeble leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: competent Concentration: woeful
Bowling: competent Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal
I'd say probably up to 150k. Prices are very high at the moment, but because of his secondaries he won't get as much as he could. Decent player though.

Got through to the quarter-finals of the cup with a big win:

Asterix XI 292-5
Cuss 92 (73), Bell 70 (87), Wynand 43 (50), Malik 41* (40)

Tythe Barn CC 82-10 (20.3 overs)
Louis 4-22 (10), Watkins 2-23 (5), Poole 1-2 (0.3), Malik 1-19 (5)

Didn't score as much as I wanted, but didn't matter in the end as their batsmen collapsed in a heap. Good for Watkins' fitness as well as he only bowled five overs and didn't bat, should be able to rest him on Friday so he'll hopefully be up to sublime in time for next Sunday's cup match.

Got my best ratings to date, was on TIE as well:
Code:
	       [B]Tythe Barn CC Asterix XI[/B]
Top Order: respectable quality
Middle Order: mediocre mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal competent
Seam Bowling: competent quality
Spin Bowling: competent strong
Fielding: woeful feeble
Note the competent lower order - Watkins was batting at 9. Next round won't be nearly as easy, but I'm fairly confident of progressing:

3wide.com Strike CC

Top Order: quality
Middle Order: respectable
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: strong
Spin Bowling: proficient
Fielding: feeble

If I win that and the other cup results go as I expect, I'll have a league/cup double header against Doobie Bombers which could be disastrous as I've never beaten them yet.

BARNES OUT
Ridiculously close friendly with Paddy ended with a 3 run, last over win to me. I got my best ever ratings too.

Central Districts 8-272
Munroe 94*(71) [with five sixes]
Herd 74 (125) [hit the stamina wall hard]
Priest 4-57

Drunk XI 10-269
Bissmire 100 (136)
Buckle 85 (104)
Hodge 7-31 (saved the match for me)

Code:
                Drunk XI Central Districts
Top Order: mediocre competent
Middle Order: feeble feeble
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Spin Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Fielding: feeble feeble
Hodge an obvious MOTM.

reached the last 32 of the NZ cup today with a comfortable win. will have to beat afc wombles! to advance of the final 16. afc wombles! is home to new zealand's best batsmen, joe harriot. he has a better side than mine so we're going to have our work cut out. by no means are we written off, i just think that some things are going to have to go our way if we're to advance to the next round.

Maungatapu 237 (49.4 overs)

Atkins 72 (91), Holmes 4/45, Mutasa 3/53

Whenuapai CC 4/238 (46.5 overs)
Fry 109* (144)

Main concern was that Fry, my teams number 5 batsmen, did quite well. While my big name players all stuttered and failed to make any major impact on the occasion. I'll be looking to get everyone's fitness up for next Monday's big occasion. The last 2 seasons we've gone out in the round of 32, so it'd be nice to go one further just for a change

Only one pop:

Sandeep Chanderpaul - 19 yo, BT Rating=22,531
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated
A destructive player with competent leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: superb Concentration: competent
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent
Fielding: strong

My fielding nets don't seem to be popping concentration and consistency (with a primary net too) nearly as quickly after the changes were made. Especially Sekani whose popped twice in consistency in 16 weeks....with 2 bowling nets and a fielding net.

Ah well, guess I'll have to be patient. :)

Oh and I got whipped out the cup by Master Blasters. Chanderpaul and Singh both got golden ducks so never really had a chance.

Had 3 fairly important pops, best (20yo) bowler popped in consistency after 12 weeks (sounds like 1 pop per season is the norm for 17yos without fielding/keeping), uber-concentration wickie popped in batting 2-3 weeks early (9 weeks + 1 week with 2 nets - they're 19yo) and Lisbie my strong-strong/respectable(still)-superb all-rounder popped in stamina to woeful.

And yea stamina takes 6 weeks to pop for every player now.

A couple pops for the Jets:

Hamid Ellis - 18 yo, BT Rating=5,677
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: proficient Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal

Sasrutha Muralitharan - 17 yo, BT Rating=5,242
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A defensive player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: respectable Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: abysmal

Pretty happy with the Ellis pop, hopefully my keeper/batsmen pops to proficient next week, it seems like i've been waiting forever. Murali develping nicely, he should be ready to play in my 1st team at this rate by about round 10, with my poor secondaries and stamina.

My lone pop today:

Fitz Watkins - 20 yo, BT Rating=86,084
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, fresh
A defensive player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: strong Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: remarkable Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: superb Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: proficient

Might give him a fielding net at some point to get his secondaries to exceptional before next season, for no particular reason.

Not a lot, 20k on a good day - they've a very high wage for those stats but it's probably not worth getting them up to a competent/competent all-rounder. For those stats the maximum possible wage is ~550, but if you're unlucky it'll take 9 nets to get the two primary pops (tho you'd also get secondary pops if it took that long, because the secondaries would need to be very high for it to take that many nets [those secondaries contribute ~50 to that maximum wage]).
