(@cameeel) I hope you're joking when you say that he's 'semi decent' - he's far, far better than anything my academy has ever produced. Presumably he'd have to be a 17yo proficient for you to consider him 'decent'. Fired my YP straight away suffice to say.

I don't think the new academy will benefit rich teams any more than it should - it will benefit teams who invest the most in their academy, which is what it should do. There will still be the chance for teams to randomly get good YPs as so many people on here seem to do. If they wanted to benefit rich teams there would be no cap on academy investment - next season it will be capped at £20,000 per week, which isn't really much.

I like the fact that the older academy players get more sessions, as it basically gives you the choice between choosing a 17/18yo player who can be trained after being pulled, or a 19/20yo who can't be trained as much, but will be better in the short term so can go straight into the starting XI. At the moment YPs are useless for improving making short-term improvements to my starting XI (unless I get a proficient, which I never have done), so I think I'll much prefer the new system.

Will be playing my 2nd XI (ie. resting Cuss, Gillespie and a few others) against brenoevo's team today, so I'll have a better idea of what my bench strength is like.

Added some more bench strength for next season, bought a 22yo competent/mediocre allrounder with feeble+ secondaries and stamina for 86k. Will give him a trundle today though I don't expect he'll be terribly good with the ball. I'll try to sell one or two of my competent bats so I should be able to break even or close to it.

I've got far too many batsmen at the moment: 1 quality, 1 strong, 1 proficient, 4 respectable, 5 competent and a few mediocre/feeble. Resting four of my usual batsmen today but still have competents down to no. 9. Bowling options are a bit light apart from my main five though. Going to try next season to replace all my competent bats (apart from the WK/batsman) and some of the respectables with another two strong+ batsmen, and get another couple of proficient+ bowlers somehow.

(@GoT_SpIn) I've got no money - I'll be on 119k at the next update unless I sell someone. I'm not planning to buy strongs, just proficients that I can train. I want to buy a 17yo proficient at the start of next season (assuming my academy isn't generous enough to give me one) which will cost at least 400k (for a proficient with no secondaries).

I've got two home games left - they get around 125k each - plus prizemoney which will be £180,000, £125,000 or £75,000 depending on whether I finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. So I should have enough to buy that 17yo proficient, but any purchases after that will probably involve selling my current players.

I still think there'll be a big push for bowlers at some point, bowlers fitness levels are generally 1-2 levels below that of the batsmen in my team already, even worse for the all-rounders (I'll be demoting my bowling all-rounder to number 6 in the batting to avoid them batting if possible). Then of course you'll have teams who can pick almost whatever pitch type they like, so if you're weak in one area of bowling the more active managers will spot it. I think we will all need 8-9 bowlers ideally.

Yeah it's definitely going to be a worry for me as two of my bowlers are allrounders (well, as soon as Malik stops being useless). Will probably move Gillespie down to no. 7 or so next season, Malik should be OK at no. 6 since he's a spinner and is getting stamina training. My sixth bowler at the moment is Oddy who's competent/woeful/feeble but I'd rather not use him; hopefully my academy gives me someone better before next season. Lack of FC games should mean that I'll get by though.

The Indian U19 coach has apparently 'quit' BT and put his two internationals on the market:

Bowling: quality Consistency: quality
Fielding: feeble

Phanishwar Hamed (75011)
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb form, fresh
(superb batting form, superb bowling form)
A destructive player with worthless leadership skills and woeful experience.

Part of the India squad

Plays For:	The Hoppers

I'd rather have the injuries along with the fitness levels, injury is a part of the game - just the odd injury mind, where you'd be considered very unlucky to have 2 guys out injured at the same time.

I do think the current fitness (for individual players) level drops are excessive at present, hopefully they'll change when the FC *eventually* starts.

Put them on the market just on the off-chance someone will buy them, just fire them once no-one bids over the next 3 days.
