Cruising to victory at the moment, bowled them out for 200 with Lovers taking 8 for 18 or there abouts and Mansfield 70* and Tucker 64* getting the runs at ease.

Easy TIE win today. Bowled them out for 123 and chased that down in 14 overs with Mccammon getting 65* off 41. Got a Superb top order rating as well on TIE, which was pleasing. Allens fitness is slowing getting better and better

Just got back from camp and was shocked to see we got membership for two weeks. Was then even more shocked to how disgusting my players looked.

Expecting a defeat today - my team needs some looking at, but I don't have the time at the moment, so guess this season will be a consolidating what I've got and trying to get my balance to a level for an assault next year.

Very easy TIE win against a team that used to be in Div I before he must've got chopped as his team is rubbish now.

Reet 94 (66)
Ahmed 62* (53)

The Hoppers 61 all out (18.1 overs)
Bardle 6/16

Malik 1/18

TIEing against the team that's 7th in my league. GFIed last week, so team fitness not all that good. Still, should pull Strong/Respectable top/middle order and Strong/Quality seam/spin. The trouble is, my opponents aren't too far behind that - Resp/Resp batting and Strong/Resp bowling.

If he GFIs, I'll most probably lose. But I don't think he will, because he's playing for 4th and has pretty much admitted it - I'm 1st, and I don't think he'd risk "wasting" the GFI.

We shall see...

Are you at work mate?

If you are, you're 46/0 after 8. I'll probably watch your game for afternoon because I'll be in a lab.

Weather changed to partially cloudy and humid... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Having said that my medium pacer is doing the worst of anyone so far (very marginal tho). They're 88-1 after 18 on a hard & fast.

Credit where it's due tho Battrick seems to be running quite nicely so far today.

You talkin' to me? If so, thanks! Yes, I'm at work, so just getting the occasional update on my phone. Last I saw, a golden duck for McGregor (my 3rd best batsman) took me down to 107/2 off 19 overs. Hard & fast pitch, so that's about par I reckon.

The golden boys are in now - Reed (season avg > 200) and Sandwith (avg = infinite as he's not been out yet). Sandwith's set to attacking, so there should be fireworks! I could do with big innings from them both. If that hasn't jinxed it, I don't know what could

Uh-oh, Sandwith out now after 17 off 33 balls.

156/3 after 30. What have you got left in the tank?

Not a lot presumably:

Code:
End of Over 32: 161-5, runrate=5.03
Rush 6-0-30-1
Gonasilan* 0 (1 balls)
Reed 91 (95 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis c & b. Rush 0 (FOW: 160/5)

31.6 [B]lb1[/B] Rush to Gonasilan
Rush delivers a snorter which catches Gonasilan awkwardly on the upper arm and allows a stolen run.
31.5 [B]W[/B] Rush to Curtis
[B][COLOR="red"] The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and Curtis has got cricket pie all over his face! [/COLOR][/B]
31.4 . Rush to Curtis
Defended out to Glazer who shines the ball and returns it to Rush.
31.3 . Rush to Curtis
Bit of lift, just over the stumps and through to the keeper.
31.2 [B]1[/B] Rush to Reed
Cuts a rising delivery away to third man.
31.1 . Rush to Reed
Startling piece of defensive work by Reed.

End of Over 31: 159-4, runrate=5.13
Wise 9-0-46-3
Reed* 90 (93 balls)
Curtis 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Verma c. Sodhi b. Wise 1 (FOW: 159/4)

30.6 . Wise to Curtis
Dead bat in defence and the bowler picks the ball up a few yards from Curtis. Wise's bowling is military medium at best but he has the ability to keep batsmen quiet.
30.5 [B]W [/B]Wise to Verma
[B][COLOR="Red"] Oh dear! That’s a schoolboy error by Verma, playing away from his body at a wide one. [/COLOR][/B]
30.4 1 Wise to Reed
    Played to square leg.
30.3 [B]1[/B] Wise to Verma
That's a neat little late cut through the vacant third slip region for a single.
30.2 . Wise to Verma
Slower ball, Verma defends to the off side.
30.1 [B]1[/B] Wise to Reed
Cut away beautifully off the back foot, but a great stop at backward point keeps it to one run.

Bugger! Verma and Curtis were the (not great) all-rounders with respectable and proficient batting (decent conc, too). Just the tail left now, as my wickie's not much of a batsman.

There's the chance that I'll be able to defend 200 - my opponent's batting should be as good as mine, but I've got better bowlers. Of course, if he's GFIed, I'm probably toast.

If only Reed can...on second thoughts, I'm keeping my mouth shut now!

Sorry to continue with the misery:

Code:
[size=1]End of Over 36: 166-8, runrate=4.61
Rush 8-1-31-3
Reed* 94 (98 balls)
Brooker 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: John c. Sodhi b. Rush 0 (FOW: 166/8)

35.6 W Rush to John
[COLOR="red"] And that's out! Beautiful delivery, just a little movement away and a regulation caught behind for Sodhi. [/COLOR]
35.5 . Rush to John
Forward and cover running in to field.
35.4 . Rush to John
Thin edge, but the ball bounced just in front of Sodhi.
35.3 . Rush to John
Watches it sail through to the keeper, good carry there.
35.2 . Rush to John
Shortish ball straying towards leg stump. John eyes the pull but it doesn't bounce as much as expected and is taken high on the pad. Hopeful shout for lbw from Rush.
35.1 1 Rush to Reed
Advanced down the track, played out to mid on for an easy single.

End of Over 35: 165-7, runrate=4.71
Knight 6-1-16-1
Reed* 93 (97 balls)
John 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Hirst lbw b. Knight 1 (FOW: 165/7)

34.6 . Knight to John
John defends well. Oh, would you look at that, that cloud's shaped like a dragon.
34.5 . Knight to John
    Stroked back down the pitch.
34.4 W Knight to Hirst
[COLOR="red"]Trapped leg before as the ball turns sharply in the rough at the last moment. [/COLOR]
34.3 1 Knight to Reed
Swept to the deep backward square leg for a single, Lyttle fields.
34.2 1 Knight to Hirst
Neatly played into the leg side and they can comfortably jog through for the single.
34.1 1 Knight to Reed
Lift, on the toes, pushed down to the deep point region. Lyttle doing the fielding.

End of Over 34: 162-6, runrate=4.76
Rush 7-1-30-2
Reed* 91 (95 balls)
Hirst 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Gonasilan b. Rush 1 (FOW: 162/6)

33.6 W Rush to Gonasilan
[COLOR="Red"]Huge yorker! He had no chance with that one, Sodhi shields his face as the stumps explode from out of the ground, Gonasilan was rooted. Rush is delighted with that, and he has every reason to celebrate. [/COLOR][/size]
You reckon he's GFI?Scary how quick he went through your middle-order, resp/profs would be close to my best players.

It's barmy how H&F pitches can go from everyone making easy fast runs to like 8 wickets in 10 overs. One of the notable collapses in a game I had ages ago was after ~570 runs had been scored for 3 wickets and then whoever it was batting second collapsed and got bowled out.

First blow struck at 12/1 after 3 overs. More interesting watching gun bowlers rather than painful ones I have.
