got alright secondries for you and he would be a good player to bat maybe like 6 for you guys he would be better than say a respectable with worthless secondries so i suggest to buy him say as a no 6 batsmen and later on as a backup

I promoted this player from my academy.. did i make a mistake or...?? how does it work?

Stuart Crossley - 17 yo, BT Rating=454
LH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A cautious player with worthless leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Stamina: worthless Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: feeble

first of all fire him! he is so bad but the usual with 0 ITS now when you use your academy you have to allocate ITS you probably dont no how to use this but its just a matter of pressing the plus buttons and minus buttons when your promoting a player

can anyone explain to me what the last column for first class is i no it goes priority then spell orders then run rate they can go whats the very last column

1) Priority
2) Maximum overs to be bowled in a spell
3) Minimum overs to be bowled in a spell
4) Maximum run rate before captain takes the bowler off (probably after the minimum number of overs bowled)

So if you've set a bowler to priority 1, 8 maximum ovs, 4 minimum ovs with 6 maximum run rate he'll probably take the new ball, and if he bowls 4-0-23-1 he'll get another over. However, if he then concedes eight he'll be taken off, as 5-0-31-1 gives higher run rate than six.

The game is underway. We shall be joining our commentators shortly for ball-by-ball commentary. 8-)

I haven't got a clue about how to go about the FC game so I'll put my side down, and we
can compare strategies.

(stamina/primary/secondary), batting order, bowling order and details

Delhi Bulls v Zebras

1 Jon Lloyd (med/com/med; RS aby/fee), normal, normal, 10, 4-1-6
2 Rajanikant Islam (com/pro/aby), defensive
3 Saurav **** (c) (pro/str/pro), normal
4 Natraj Ahmed (woe/com/com), defensive
5 Arun Ahmed (fee/com/fee; LF com/fee), normal, defensive, 3, 7-4-4.5
6 Zia Ghandi (res/com/woe), attacking
7 Faisal Lal (woe/med/med; RM com/fee), normal, normal, 6, 6-3-5
8 Aruna de Mel (wk) (fee/woe/pro), very attacking
9 Chandresh Singh Lali (com/aby/woe; RM res/med), normal, attacking, 1, 8-4-4.5
10 Gurudas Ghandi (med/aby/woe; RM com/med), normal, normal, 2, 7-4-4.5
11 Ashwatthama Singh (fee/aby/wor; LS res/med), normal, normal, 4, 15-4-5

1st Innings Declaration: 450
2nd Innings Declaration: Not yet entered
Toss: Bat
Enforce Follow On

Basically I'll rotate the three main seamers, with Ashwatthama then coming on and operating from the other end for a while. Faisal Lal will provide some additional support, and Lloyd's very average off-spin is there if required.

I presume we get to enter the 2nd innings declaration at the close of play?

Thoughts?
I've declared much earlier, at 360, but then I don't expect to be bowled out either because I'm facing an absolute awful team. I think you'd want Natraj to be attacking so that he can score runs before stamina takes him, and in any case I think you'd be doomed to a draw with those tactics (which could be what you want of course)

No point in hanging around. The engine is stuck and there's only five games underway. Another bug... *sigh*

whats secondaries ?? ie like players that are out of the 1st XI?
Secondaries are consistency and concentration, and to some people, stamina. If a player is a batsman, he should have good concentration. If a player is a bowler, he should have good consistency. If a player is a wicketkeeper, he should have good consistency AND concentration. Stamina is useful for everyone, because otherwise you might just get all your batsmen making about 30 and then getting themselves out.

how do you tell?

and how do you tell somethin like - "12 stamina, 12 batting, 11 conc. Disappointed."

Is it more important to look at the batting and bowling or the concentration and consistency.. even though both work side by side?
The 12 stamina, 12 batting, 11 conc, etc. is for making youth pulls. Basically, you have to invest money in your youth academy (up to 20,000 per week), and depending on how much you invest, you'll get a certain amount of ITS that week (if you invest 20,000, you'll get 10 ITS). So once you have ITS (stands for Intensive Training Sessions), you can use them when you make a 'youth pull,' like the player you made. Say you have 35 ITS (the maximum number for a 17 year old). If you're hoping for a batsman, you might put 12 ITS on stamina (12 is the maximum number of ITS you can spend on one skill), 12 ITS on batting, and 11 ITS on concentration (which is needed for batsmen, remember). Then once you create your player, you'll see his skills. Each player starts off with a level of natural skill though, so if a player's batting skill was already mediocre, and you put 12 ITS on it, it might end up being proficient, which is very good for a young player. If his batting skill was only worthless to begin with though, it would end up being mediocre with 12 ITS, which isn't very good, and is really a waste of ITS. The bad thing is that you can't see your youth pulls natural skill until you spend your ITS and make him.

If that's confusing, which it certainly sounded to me, just go to the rules (under help) on Battrick and have a read.

Hmm... looks the commentary's messed up. Bugger, was looking forward to seeing our first game of the season.

Wow, comprehensively beaten to it by Hakon and Mike.

Cup matches frozen
With all the changes due to the introduction of the FC matches, the cricketers of BT became confused and many turned up to the wrong venues, some brought their whites instead of their pajamas, and others collapsed in nervous exhaustion due to all the excitement. This had meant the cup matches scheduled for today have been delayed. Things will be fixed as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

This is likely to affect all cup matches in all countries.

Hmm sounds like we could be waiting a while.
