Yeah, I had two Resp bowlers (Hodge and Pryde) and a few comp bats. I had no idea what I was doing for the best part of a season, though, so I'm really only catching up now.
Fair enough. I had one comp bat, one comp bowl and a few mediocres. I got a few decent youth pulls though.

Anyone know when cup matches will be scheduled? And anybody not from Australia want/need a freindly?

Progress score against Dalmeny CC:

End of Over 34: 194-2, runrate=5.71
Thorn 7-0-63-0
Watkins* 54 (60 balls)
Ashton 36 (42 balls)
Last Wicket: Whitehorne c. Wilkey b. Lovegrove 61 (FOW: 126/2)

Lovegrove has five overs to go so there could be a bit of a collapse at the end.

Score against dtang's "The Watnoffs", having bowled first:

End of Over 2: 5-0, runrate=2.50, reqrunrate=3.63 (178-10)
Came 1-0-3-0
Gray* 3 (4 balls)
Houlihan 2 (8 balls)

I mixed my batting order up a bit to try and get the best possible ratings (top order is comp/comp, superb/quality, comp/feeb and middle is resp/comp, strong/prof, resp/feeb, resp/feeb), so I might not hurry along.

Bundled out for 245 with Lovegrove taking a bunch of late wickets. Dalmeny 13-1 after three overs, Watkins the wicket-taker.

Am playing Got Spin

End of Over 34: 228-2, runrate=6.71, reqrunrate=7.75 (351-3)
Tedstone 7-0-49-1
Mccammon* 115 (97 balls)
Makel 4 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Saunders lbw b. Tedstone 97 (FOW: 224/2)

Griffin made a big century for the Ponies, McCammon needs to stay in to win the game for GS.

Robertinho

Cricketer Of The Year
The Watnoffs 178ao from 38.3 overs
Evans 80* (99)
Rayno 4/49 (9.3)
Mcmillan 2/15 (5.0)
Mills 2/15 (5.0)

Robertinho Select XI 2/180 from 40.4 overs
Houlihan 51 (103)
Millard 48* (91)
Mcmillan 44* (24)

Big 8 wicket win, Houlihan and Millard were so slow though.

Solid ratings too, having mixed up my order, and with fitness & morale resets:

Robertinho Select XI
Top Order: competent
Middle Order: competent
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre
Spin Bowling: proficient
Fielding: woeful

That damn seam bowling! Down to mediocre again! Won't be helped by the absence of Mclaren either... :(

BARNES OUT
Code:
End of Over 44: 251-4, runrate=5.70, reqrunrate=5.33 (282-4)
Sambrook	7-0-40-0
Blewitt*	12 (10 balls)
Elvins	122 (111 balls)
Damn Elvins.

**EDIT**

As I post, Hodge gets Elvins and a collapse is now possible.

Code:
44.4 W	Hodge to Elvins
That's a bad ball by Hodge, short and wide but Elvins has edged the cut into his own stumps!

Things are heating up against Got Spin here. Last two overs have been all singles though, some good bowling from Fernando and Erasmus.

End of Over 46: 316-2, runrate=6.87, reqrunrate=9.00 (351-3)
Erasmus 8-0-53-0
Mccammon* 173 (139 balls)
Makel 33 (32 balls)
Last Wicket: Saunders lbw b. Tedstone 97 (FOW: 224/2)

Edit: Fernando gets Makel. Ponies win looking more likely

End of Over 47: 324-3, runrate=6.89, reqrunrate=9.33 (351-3)
Fernando 9-0-61-2
Barnard* 1 (1 balls)
Mccammon 175 (141 balls)
Last Wicket: Makel b. Fernando 38 (FOW: 323/3)

My post-reset ratings:
Code:
[B]
  Dalmeny Cricket Club Asterix XI[/B]
Top Order: strong wonderful
Middle Order: feeble mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: strong respectable
Spin Bowling: strong exceptional
Fielding: feeble feeble
Not as good as before obviously but not too bad. Middle order needs a lot of work as demonstrated by today's match. Seam should go up a bit when I use a proper bowler in place of Osborn (who is mediocre), hopefully in the form of a decent YP.

Toying with the idea of selling Crabb for 600-700k when his contract runs out in a few weeks then buying a good seamer for ~2m. At the moment I don't have anyone decent enough to share the new ball with Watkins (and I don't like giving Watkins the new ball anyway, doesn't seem to be suited for it). The middle order problem is possibly a bit more urgent though, not sure which one to fix first.

Gah. Shocker of an over from Erasmus, with Barnard hitting four fours. That wicket might not have been such a good thing. Rob should take it from here.

End of Over 48: 342-3, runrate=7.13, reqrunrate=5.00 (351-3)
Erasmus 9-0-71-0
Mccammon* 176 (142 balls)
Barnard 18 (6 balls)
Last Wicket: Makel b. Fernando 38 (FOW: 323/3)

Chaulky just had too much depth in the end, added to by poor bowling from my blokes at the death. Viveash win with 14 balls to spare.

Code:
And that's the end of the match. Viveash won by 5 wickets.
Central Districts	282-4
Viveash	285-5
Hodge the standout with the ball with 3-37 from 9, De Beer with the bat with 95 from 126.

Damn it, lost it with two balls to go. Really should've won, given that they needed over 9 an over with three to go. Bloody competents (with defensive temperment), hitting four fours in an over.
