Easy win, but it was my first home game with my new ground :D

Got a solid crowd of 21444 in, collecting £157600 in gate receipts

Won my game, though not as easily as I'd have liked

Gisborne Bomber 8/230
Erasmus 4/27, Dunne 3/42, Fernando 1/44

Magical Ponies 0/231 (41.4)
Griffin 111* (118), Farmer 102* (134)

Magical Ponies Gisborne Bomber
Top Order: respectable feeble
Middle Order: mediocre woeful
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre feeble
Spin Bowling: respectable feeble
Fielding: woeful woeful
MOTM: Griffin

That's the first time I've seen a normal (nothing big, that is) century get MOTM over four wickets.

Also brings up 1000 runs for Griffin in my league, who now has an average of 1068 for the league (606.5 for the season).

Playing the team coming first, the boys did ok, in the first match. Can't see us chasing this, but you never know.

End of Over 50: 295-9, runrate=5.90
Baptiste 10-0-57-4
Grace* 0 (0 balls)
Binnington 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Perera c. Clayton b. Baptiste 2 (FOW: 295/ 9)

Very happy with Baptiste bowling, the move to bowl him at the depth, seems to been a master stroke.

Got my opponents 107-5, except my superb-competent bowler is getting smashed and my strong-woeful one took 4 wickets in his first 4 overs... hmm.

Anyways bought this guy:

Liam Parr (796037)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: champs05
Nationality: New Zealand
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 7,058
Wages: £1,092 p/w

Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: proficient Consistency: woeful
Fielding: mediocre

for 260k. I only have one decent spinner (Dillon, RH as well - can't have everything) so other than being a bargain they're good for the squad balance also. If I'm dead lucky they'll have been trained beyond proficient by the seller (they were pulled in May), but they're probably just bottom proficient.

crikey, champs05 are in my league. they are currently in the midst of one of the most dramatic relegation scraps i've had the pleasure of witnessing. 4 points seperate 5th-8th. what drama...

End of Over 25: 101-4, runrate=4.04
Littler 6-0-28-1
Coates* 4 (6 balls)
Findlay 55 (61 balls)

probably a bit on the expensive side that guy i reckon
If the guy was 25yo it would still have been about the market price (I sold a 25yo prof-woe bat earlier in the season for 318k), since they're 17yo they'd have usually gone for over say 400k

Loss my match, but pushed them all the way, some interesting ratings as well. Looks like the side i played have either rested a lot of players or sold some of their better players.

Kevins Klowns - 9/295 (50)

Hewamanna 113 (119) - MOTM
Dowdall 4/58 (10)
Baptiste 4/57 (10)

Jaffna Jets - 4/284 (50)

Quintin 85 (112)
Ellis 79 (89)
Graham 1/35 (10)
Perera 1/33 (10)

Jaffna Jets kevins klowns
Top Order: competent competent
Middle Order: mediocre mediocre
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: competent competent
Spin Bowling: mediocre useless
Fielding: woeful woeful

Probably could have won that match if be batted faster in the middle overs. That win gives Kevins Klowns the title.

Jus bought this guy for £448,893 seems pretty cheap for a strong bowler these days even though he is 28.
