My playoff could end up an interesting game.

It is currently this situation:

End of Over 8: 32-2, runrate=4.00, reqrunrate=3.67 (185-10)
Ferrell 4-0-16-1
Grabb* 11 (14 balls)
Weight 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Islam c. Moodley b. Ferrell 12 (FOW: 32/2)

I am bowling. I was 108/0 at one stage then collapsed to 120/4, then lost 4 wickets in 6 balls at the end and Abdul kadir was left 100* (105) at the other end.

Had an awesome finish to our season. Amazing two matches against the odds. Some key players -

Brett Read - 572 runs @ 63.56, S/R @ 87.73%
Justin Hindle - 495 runs @ 45.00, S/R @ 76.74% and 19 wickets @ 20.32
Dean Holmes - 22 wickets @ 20.23
Simon Abbey - 483 runs @ 40.25, S/R @ 66.07%
Leighton Steyn - 149 runs @ 24.83, S/R @ 81.87% and 20 catches with 5 stumpings

Yew!

Turns out my opponent threw the game partially, not sure how as he has all his best players playing and I've bowled them out and now he's saying he threw it.

Oh well, a season of getting pillaged in the Ranji for me then.

Though the game isn't over yet, he only needs 100 with 6 wickets in hand and RRR of <4. Grabb is the key wicket.

I won. Boggles are now officially a Ranji Trophy side.

Got some OK ratings for a GFI from fresh fitness as well. :)

Interesting stage in my match, there best bowler is one and he took a wicket last over. I decided to let Ellis bat at 3 this match, instead of hiding him at 5. Hopefully it pays off and he does get out cheaply. Really needed a big innings from Lucas, wish he didn't get out. I wish i didn't have to go work, hopefully the boys get us home.

End of Over 16: 73-1, runrate=4.56, reqrunrate=5.41 (256-4)
Samantha 3-0-8-1
Ellis* 4 (10 balls)
Clayton 38 (45 balls)

Last Wicket: Lucas c. Ajzam b. Samantha 31 (FOW: 68/1)

Haha I don't deserve to be there though Nibbs. :)

Your inspirational post a few pages back were enough to stir my competitive streak so I couldn't throw the game. It's not going to be a pleasant season for Boggles though, it has to be said.

Could be a big name coming Adam's way tonight. Hoping he gets him itbt. They're calling him the next Watkins. Big call, I know, but he could just be there.

Another all-rounder though? A darn gun though if ever I saw one.

May cause problems when it comes to the FC games (if they ever come in) to have 3 all-rounders in the side.

I doubt it'd matter much, considering how low Whitehorne bats in the order and the little amount of training Watkins and Whitehorne are likely to recieve.

Div II here we come, we are going to get so smashed. Just won my playoff in decent style as well, with Ellis rewarding my faith in him at the top order by scoring a hundred.

Worcester Warriors 4/256(50) Jeithoon 1/50(10), Sishayi 1/41(10), Muralitharan 1/60(10)

lost to

Jaffna Jets 5/257(48.3) Clayton 49(64), Ellis 110*(109), Quintin 49(61)

Pretty gun ratings on GFI as well.

Congrats PY and Chaminda!

I may not be able to set my team until Monday. Oh well, looks as though a glorious Twenty20 run is not going to happen this season :(

The main attraction of a good run in the 20/20 for me was the amount of money it would bring in but with tiny crowds, I'm not that fussed about performances.

It's just more game time. :)

hmm, i don't understand. why would we get little or no money from twenty20. it is beyond a joke imo.
