12.3 . Walton to Chillingworth
Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat; that ball was just an inch away from the outside of the bat.

End of Over 13: 60-1, runrate=4.62
Walton 2-0-10-0
Chillingworth* 35 (37 balls)
Faakir 17 (31 balls)

Last Wicket: Saville c. Stroud b. Meyer 6 (FOW: 16/1)

I'm really needing a wicket at this stage.

Have a huge match today. Playing Fuller and things may get ugly.

End of Over 23: 96-0, runrate=4.17
Martyn 5-0-14-0
Hetherington* 54 (76 balls)
Elmes 38 (64 balls)

Not doing badly.

37.4 W Savage to Chillingworth
My word! Taylor has taken a magnificent diving catch, his arms appeared to stretch out of their sockets and extend an unfeasible distance to pluck that ball out of the air!
Gerry "Go Go Gadget" Taylor

End of Over 38: 179-5, runrate=4.71
Savage 9-0-44-1
Huckerby* 1 (2 balls)
Murtagh 8 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Chillingworth c. Taylor b. Savage 102 (FOW: 178/5)

I really need my bowlers to keep it tight from here on in. Thankfully i have 2 relatively new batsmen at the crease...

Are you batting or bowling?

(Feeling very slow today..)
He was batting. All out for 247 in the 49th over. Should be able to chase that against Gelman's horrible attack, but we'll see.

hi my names wayne stevens and i wish i bowled like this every over

47.6 W Stevens to James
Stevens strikes! A loose shot from James. It was short, looking to go over the top of fielder at mid on but mistimes the ball straight to him, who takes the catch on the second attempt as he fumbles it the first time.
47.5 . Stevens to James
On the back foot, pushed to the ground, cover quick to field the ball.
47.4 W Stevens to Ryan
Ryan comes forward to a shorter ball just outside off stump, straightens off the seam and finds the probing outside edge, straight through to Berry.
47.3 . Stevens to Ryan
Gently pushed out to the cover fielder.
47.2 . Stevens to Ryan
Stroked back down the pitch.
47.1 W Stevens to Carrick
That's gone like a rocket to Blewitt who has caught a wonder catch!

Toby Verhoeven would like to bowl with him...

Code:
49.6 1 Verhoeven to Deevers
Slapped down to long on for the single.
49.5[B][COLOR="red"] W Verhoeven to Lunt
Bowled! The long walk back to the pavilion begins now. Lunt was well beaten there! [/COLOR][/B]
49.4 4 Verhoeven to Lunt
Lunt really tees up there! Right out of the screws.
49.3 [B][COLOR="red"]W Verhoeven to Woodhouse
GONE! Magnificent catch on the boundary. [/COLOR][/B]
49.2 W Verhoeven to Cudworth
[B][COLOR="Red"]OUT! That little inch of seam has put Cudworth in all sorts of bother and he's trapped LBW. [/COLOR][/B]
49.1 1 Verhoeven to Huckerby
Beats the infield for an easy single.
End of Over 50: 270-9, runrate=5.40
Verhoeven 10-1-52-4
Deevers* 1 (1 balls)
Huckerby 46 (38 balls)

Last Wicket: Lunt b. Verhoeven 4 (FOW: 269/9)

Groves again was plastered, 1-71. I really need to get a new "death bowler". Verhoeven has been effective, but groves has been horrendous.

Should be an interesting chase, Stroud & Meyer are both due for a big 1 with the bat, so heres to hoping :)

heres an idea lets back up the great total our bowlers left us to chase by starting like this...

0.6 W Vines to Blewitt
Straightforward outside edge into Sanghera's gloves.

0.5 W Vines to Elvins
He's gone! A vicious rising bouncer just caught the shoulder of Elvins's bat and flew straight into the bucket-like hands of Rowe-francis at third slip.

0.4 1 Vines to Wainwright
Played to square leg.
0.3 1 Vines to Elvins
Pushed into the covers for one run.
0.2 1 Vines to Wainwright
That's right! Forget about the crowd's jeering, he wants to keep pushing those away for singles, just like that. I know I always did.
0.1 1 Vines to Elvins
Flicked to mid on, quick single taken.

as opposed to this...

Code:
1.6 3 Lunt to Ludlow
[B]Athletic running by the two batsmen there, making sure every run counts. [/B]
1.5 1 Lunt to Stroud
[B]Nicely worked around to deep backward square for the single. [/B]
1.4 4 Lunt to Stroud
[B]Hilarious! Lunt is not pleased as what looked like a single has turned into four runs because Woodhouse let the ball go through his legs. [/B]
1.3 4 Lunt to Stroud
[B]Cracked straight back past the bowler and some seagulls on the boundary rise into the[/B] air in alarm as the ball streaks through their midst.
1.2 . Lunt to Stroud
Shortish ball outside off stump. The batsman cuts hard at it but only succeeds in getting a bottom edge.
1.1 . Lunt to Stroud
The ball pitches up outside off stump, Stroud pushes to the mid off region

That's Fullers btw. Quite nervous here. Have everything on the line for this game.

Camilleri onto 92, need 49 off 56 now with 5 in hand.

Should get there, but Mason's two remaining overs could induce a collapse as there's not much batting to come.

End of Over 41: 202-3, runrate=4.93, reqrunrate=4.22 (239-5)
Collis 6-0-40-1
Livera* 3 (2 balls)
Siyabonga 25 (29 balls)
Last Wicket: Fordham c. Jervis b. Collis 82 (FOW: 199/3)

Nervous. Just lost Fordham who has made the clubs highest score so far. I'm a bit wary. After Livera there's about 3 comp bats but haven't really made many runs. Will be close.

This team is actually behind us on the ladder, so I'll be fairly gutted if we do manage to lose.

Edit: Livera hits a six and a four in consecutive deliveries. We should be right from here.

45.2 4 Vine to Livera
Shot! Vine drops it in too short, Livera sees it like a pumpkin, rocks back and pulls powerfully through mid wicket. Not perfectly timed, but he certainly gave it a clout.

The winning shot! Well played my boys. Pretty happy with that performance. Apart from a couple of bowlers, everyone performed really. If we manage to win in the final match next week, we might finish third last. Hahaha.

Livera's a gun in the making.
