Yup, I really didn't want to take a wicket. I sense this will not go well from here on in; I just don't have the batting depth to chase this sort of target against your bowlers.

End of Over 50: 291-3, runrate=5.82
Pead 10-0-72-2
Munroe* 46 (29 balls)
De beer 21 (16 balls)

Got no idea what the each of wages for my players were last season, but my team total went from £31,855 to £52,418. Its not that high really, basically one player for some people. But it does look like im going to be running in the red when i don't have home games. Not sure if Jeithoon making U19s will make much difference really either. My main problem is i can't afford my stadium until i get over 1.5 mil in the bank, currently i only have 800k. The ground maintenance has been killing me since i re-vamped the stadium, 55.9k. I don't know maybe i'll off load some of my staff.

Don't seem to be hit too badly by wages. Canning has gone from 19 to 30k, Tedstone from 5 to 8, Terry from 2.5 to 5.5 and Potgieter from 1 to 3.

If you take Pryde to the cleaners (which you should) and attack Swart (he's only stong) then you should have a decent chance as long as on of the other three doesn't run through you. That said, I'd be pretty pissed if I didn't win.

In reference to wages, yeah, forgot to document them from last season so don't know how much they've gone up, but it seems a fair amount.

Hmm, wonder if anyone can beat Downer's wage:BTR ratio:

Wages arent too bad.

Code:

Hocking 2606	6245	3639
Poke 2529	6120	3591
Beaumont	1236	1911	675
Still might hurt.

Lower Order: abysmal

How do i have such a good opponent straight up, im only +1 on their top order, and my spin is a few above, but thats only because i have 1 spinner. Gawd, im goooone.

I figure one of those pesky BTR 1, wage 250 players would take that one. But yea apart from those that's tough to beat.

Heh. Just lost a bidding war to the owner. At 4 million he'll have to pay 200k in agent's fees, though, so I think I was wise to give up when I finally realised he was bidding for his own guy :p

Asterix XI 270/9
Watkins 140 (151), Cuss 85 (103)

Brianstoke Batters 232/10 (47.3 overs)
Mattis 4-46 (10), Whitehorne 3-41 (8.3), Watkins 2-51 (9), Downer 1-42 (10)

Slightly underwhelming 38-run win in the end, same issues cropping up - lack of middle order, lack of wickets in first 15 overs, Whitehorne being useless is the middle overs, Harewood being plain useless etc. The worst bowler - a defensive quality/resp set to very defensive - managed the most wickets, and was in fact doing better than Whitehorne when the two were bowling in tandem. Another slight oddity was that Whitehorne (resp fielder) managed to take five catches.

Anyway, got decent enough ratings considering the reset.

The Heath CC: 231-7 - Sutton 59(89), Bartlett 49(99), Talbot 43*(31)
Carberwell Carrots: 208ao - Swift 3-35, Davison 2-38, Liddle 2-41

Well I won my second friendly against a team in my league fairly comfortably, although the margin of victory could have been bigger after having them at 135-7. It was always fairly easy though as they were well below the req runrate. Solid batting on a difficult wicket from new signing Sutton and Bartlett, before Talbot provided much needed fireworks at the end. The bowlers shared the wickets around, with Swift impressing again after last week's 8-fer.

Have drawn a Div V team in the Cup so likely to go out, but it's a home draw which is something. I've been pretty pleased with my Battrick career so far - 2 wins in 2 games!

i didn't really make note of my player's personal increases, but i can say that duggan went from about 26k to 40k. overall, the total wage bills has gone from 99k to 137k. so we're set to start to losing 50k+ each week after the finance updates. hopefully we can start selling out our stadium this season and a nice long cup run would go down very well. preferably to at least round 8 this time.

Glad to have the fielding nets going on those guys now, not sure what to do with Jephcott's batting net. I don't have a stamina net at the moment, so I guess I should put that there, but I wanna train Munroe to Wonderful. Any thoughts? (There's no players in my side below med stamina at the moment)
