The Div 5 division that I'll be throwing my playoff to demote into actually has one or two semi-decent teams in it, so at least it'll be a little bit exciting. The guy I'm playing isn't bad though (prof/med batting, prof/comp bowling), so he'll hopefully not throw his game.

My 20/20 group is nuts. One div 3 team and two div 4 teams. Won't have a chance.

I had it planned out all this season, i would stay down for one more, then set my sights on Div IV, but with todays match, Mungi's First XI got ratings of Prof-med Prof-feeb on a probable GFI, so i decided, if he GFI'd me i could very well lose and stay stuck in V for another season.

My playoff match should be easy, and i will GFI it, just to make sure. His ratings are:

We will be on his cracked pitch, so, i should smash him, unless he changes it, but even then, i should have the advantage on any pitch. His squad has a few average players, and a gun 18yr old keeper, but still confident.

The team coming down to our league is going to be my main worry, he has an awesome bowling lineup, but not much in the ways of batsmen, his ratings are:

I should be right against him, unless he gets a bat sometime during the season. I doubt i could beat him, but it would be a tight contest.

The rest of the league isnt too strong, but 2nd to 4th should be very tough matches.

As you can see, i should finish like 5th next season, maybe higher if i get some lucky games, but the season after i think ill be in a good position to take the title.

hmmmmm 20/20 league has 2 other Div V teams, the best having a Mediocre batting Rating so they should be easybeats. However the 3rd team is a Div IV team who's got a Wonderful top-order, and a Strong Seam attack.

Hahaha, looking at the Div IV league i would be promoting to if i win my play-off, i'd have no hope, which means i'll be throwing my play-off.

well i played the one day game against the team coming first in my division,. he has a quality team. i thought i did ok. 2nd game and all. i hit 282 of my 50 however unfortunately he got it 2 down in the 43rd over. oh well 20 / 20 next hehehe.

Batting first we made 382/4 in 50 overs with Bullivant scoring a maiden ton(128 of 115 balls) and bowled them out for 33 with Lebohang(5 wickets) and Mcintosh(3 wickets) being the main destroyers while Watts chipped in with 2 wickets himself.

Bit miffed that I didn't manage to bowl them out on a green pitch, frankly, but Liebenberg went semi-berserk for an 85-ball 120, and Pead took four wickets to undeservedly flatter his season average. Seals me second place in my first full season, and I'm quite happy with that, thankyouverymuch, given that my goal was just to avoid a playoff. Assuming our league leader stays down (and I'm pretty sure that he's trying to), I'll want to win it next season.

Have had a change of heart, and have decided to stay in Div 4. I realised that the team coming down from Div 3 is worse than me, meaning, unless I get a freak Div 5 team or two, I'll realistically be able to beat every team in my league bar one (Infinious' team). Unfortunately, it means those two gun worthless/worthless allrounders I bought to help me throw the match were a bit of a waste.
