Another Honest Mistake, Another Australian :)

Anyone who thinks that tendulkar was unfairly given out lbw due to the fact the ball hit him on the head has no idea about the rules of cricket. The only questionable issue was the height, but the side on shot showed that the ball hit tendulkar no higher than bail height and was actually on its way down- the replays and freeze frames prove that the umps decision was correct

I stick out my middle finger at you ,,|,,

Or may be in Australia they consider 'off bounce' catches as clean.
World Cup Final, 2003:

13.1 Harbhajan Singh to Gilchrist, no run, pitching on leg stump and turning almost square, Gilchrist tries to work it to leg and misses, the ball hits pad and Ganguly takes it very closely on the first bounce and thinks it is out, but umpire Bucknor is hardly impressed Loud boos as the replays show that the ball bounced before Ganguly caught it

I think it hit him on the shoulder. And I agree it was below bail height and heading down so it was a good decision.

This thread is in grave danger of turning into a slanging match on racial/national lines. You guys better pick up your act or it'll be closed and some bans dished out. Considering the cosmopolitan nature of cricket and particularly this forum, we're pretty sensitive about that sort of thing so knock it off.

How many times have we seen an International Spinner taking 400 wickets with the help of Drugs?
None. Got proof to show any different?

Didn't think so.

Warne was banned for taking a diuretic pill. Any other inference has no basis in fact and would certainly be considered malicious by Warne and possibly libellous by his lawyers. I'd suggest you put your brain in gear before angaging your mouth (or fingers).

Did I claim that the batsman was out like your friend Kenny ?? Did Gangs abuse the Umpire too ? Or did he argue with batsmen accusing him of cheating. NO - These antics are displayed only by Aussies.

Please keep that advice for your friend 'Kenny' and his likes. Have they got any proof.

T_C can say what he said to whomever he wants to because it is relevant to both sides of the "discussion" (more like a slanging match).

The only positive thing about this thread is the fact someone learned that any part of your body can be hit before the wicket and be given out.

Claiming catches is a unilateral thing. People from all over the world. Australian, English, Indian, Kiwi, Pakistani, etc etc. I don't know if you play cricket much but I have had several occasions when I've caught it close to the deck and I don't know if I've caught it because I couldn't see. I therefore ask the question.

Anyway, back to the original topic of Martyn swearing. He's been reprimanded, what more do people want?

I dont have any problem with claiming catches, It's abusing the umpire and the batsmen afterwords which ****es me off. Not to mention the the 'Holier Than Thou' Attitude everytime Sourav does something on the field.

Damien martyn has been caught on camera and it doesn't seem to be a big deal, Remember all the hoopla after some Aussie spectators complained about Sourav's gesture in Calcutta Test ??
