Do you also rate Shoaib more than Waqar? I was surprised to get Waqar tbh I thought you'd take him before me.
i'm a Shoaib revisionist so that probably means i rate him a little too highly for things like this. iirc I had originally planned to take Donald.

tbh I should have picked Marshall, whom you also got

I'd pick Shoaib ahead of Waqar in ODIs. I'm a big believer in needing at least one very fast bowler in limited overs for maximum impact. Speedsters are always in with a chance to beat someone for pace when they're trying to score. Not saying Waqar is bad of course, he's a great bowler in his own right and those yorkers of his are always very accurate at the end of the innings, but I'd take Shoaib in ODIs personally. It'd be a different story in Tests.

I think the opposite. Fast bowlers can be easily nudged away for boundaries (especially if they are not as good and accurate as Shoaib and Lee). Give me a Gavin Larsen over a Shaun Tait in ODIs any day. Fast bowlers are of most use on flat pitches in test matches imo.

I think Shaun Tait is actually quite underrated in formats like T20s. He had that natural angle into the batsman that cramped them up for room and it was obviously fired in quick. Not that easy to time properly and get away. I felt he was actually not as good in Tests as he didn't do enough with the ball and batsmen weren't forced into trying to score off him.

Ya ok. Give me Venkatesh Prasad over David Johnson then.

I like Shoaib very much btw. He was box office. Generally bowlers with great pace don't have accuracy - Shoaib and Lee were exceptions imo.
