An Orderly Test Draft

Actually 1.35 WPM seriously ain't bad. Struggling to think of any other specialist bat with a similar one. Mushtaq Mohammad, who definitively is an all-rounder, has 1.39 WPM.

Mushtaq Mohammad.

Sack James because I didn't get the notification for the previous tag. Obviously not one to have better things going on than a draft.

I had listed Lloyd, Clarke and Chanderpaul as my optionsafter trundler snared AB de Villiers. After a bit if research I find Graham Thorpe averaged 56.2 at #5 so I'll settle for him.

Round 7 and 8 you are picking a wicketkeeper and a spinner, in either order. As only the batting positions 1-5 are dependent on the 25% or majority stipulation, you may opt to bat one or both of these selections ahead of the nominated all-rounder.

When making your selection you can nominate batting position, but this isn't essential as 6-11 are interchangeable and you might leave a final line-up until your final selection.

I wish I'd not gone Kallis, picked Hadlee for the AR spot, and picked Trevor Goddard as 3rd seamer now. But then that would be gaming the system.

Find myself regretting not having Faulkner at 5 instead of as an AR at 6 but I'll go with Michael Hussey at 5

I can see what you mean. You could then have snared someone like Hadlee as an all-rounder and that would have eased the pain of picking your quicks after everyone else.
