Yeah, I accept the probable flaw in my thinking. I think I just don't place a lot of value in the quality of the 5th bowler.

Actually 1.35 WPM seriously ain't bad. Struggling to think of any other specialist bat with a similar one. Mushtaq Mohammad, who definitively is an all-rounder, has 1.39 WPM.

I had listed Lloyd, Clarke and Chanderpaul as my optionsafter trundler snared AB de Villiers. After a bit if research I find Graham Thorpe averaged 56.2 at #5 so I'll settle for him.

I wish I'd not gone Kallis, picked Hadlee for the AR spot, and picked Trevor Goddard as 3rd seamer now. But then that would be gaming the system.

I can see what you mean. You could then have snared someone like Hadlee as an all-rounder and that would have eased the pain of picking your quicks after everyone else.
