Aboslutely nothing for us before lunch. West Indies moved very comfortably to 96/1 and McLean got a fifty. After lunch Campbell got his fifty but Warne had him soon after. McGrath was brought back to attack Lara on the stumps and induced an edge to slip with a beauty of a delivery. Lara made just 1. The new ball was taken late in the evening session and a couple more wickets were prized out. McGrath ended the day on a good Australian note, hitting Jacobs in the helmet with a sharp bouncer.

Given the general fragility of the West Indian tail, the home side fought well, but McGrath had the last laugh and got his 21st 5-wicket haul in Tests.

Great day for Australia . Hayden batted superbly in the morning session and Lehmann and Waugh really turned on the heat after tea. Firm control and just to continue the squeeze now.

Lee got the new ball in his hands and it was all over bar the shouting. He took 4 quick wickets and ended the West Indies' brave resistence in quick time.

Er... no. It sometimes doesn't allow me to play the finals in Triandgulars, but most of the time it does. Regarding squads, a squad is 16 players, so I generally pick 12-13 Test players and 3-4 ODI specialists.

Gillespie had Lara caught behind for 40 for his 150th Test wicket!
It took some excellent bowling and a questionable LBW decision (Lee v Hinds) and we managed to knock over the West Indians on day 1. Jacobs in particular showed some toughness, but we overcame that and will bat tomorrow very confident.

Brilliance of 144 off 199 balls from Michael Slater was undermined by some loose strokeplay and we crashed from 256/1 to 368 all out. The bowling was persistent from the West Indians, but we really did give it away on this day.

Chanderpaul was a pain to dismiss but eventually we got him and the others fell away without any problems. Lara contributed another duck as his dismal series continues. 83 to win...

The West Indian spinners did well again and blocked the scoring opportunities, but Hayden and co. were never really in trouble of getting out and cruised home before lunch.

Very pleasing work done. McLean was a very annoying customer throughout the innings, but we dealt with it by pegging away at the other batsmen. Once again McGrath got Lara and they were 43/4 before a good recovery. Respect to them for their heart, but we're in control again.

The vice-captain strikes his best on tour. Ponting got a couple of good fifties in the early going of this series, but it was refreshing to see him go on to a brilliant Test hundred against some quite disciplined West Indian bowling. Runscoring not as easy as expected on this pitch.

Would've liked to bat longer, but persistent bad light meant that it didn't make that much sense and rather the decision was to declare and try to get a few overs in at the West Indians before stumps. However, that didn't play out, as the light prevented any further play.

Amidst the rain and gloom the bowlers managed to get some work in. Brett Lee was in horrible rhythm with the new ball, but McGrath was in solid form as usual and accopanied the consistently trying bowling of Shane Warne well to set Australia squarely in control.

McLean very very annoying...

A nice sunny finish to the match for us. Brilliance from McGrath was frustrated until just after lunch, but his class shone through. The other bowlers weren't at their best and appear a bit tired perhaps, but overall another clinical effort and a 3-0 lead. McGrath on to 446 Test wickets...
