SA for sure. Wouldn't mind them winning against India in the finals either. The BCs are alright as a team but their fans, at least on this board, are needier than our lot and that's saying something. The Aussies are cheats so screw them.

I'd strongly consider giving the semi final toss advantage to the two teams who finished at the top in the group stages.

And the final too (whichever side finished highest)

Adopt the IPL system of playoffs. If outcomes of all matches are considered 50-50, the top 2 have 3/8th probability each of winning the trophy while the next 2 have 1/8th. Very strong incentive to finish in top 2. Also gives you a clear 2nd runner up without a dead rubber to decide it.

I honestly think we should do the Champions Trophy as a 6 nation event, confine it to WC winners and play it as a proper league with IPL type playoffs.


WC should be groups + super 6/8/QFs + semis + Finals.
