Yorkshire sends for Young, as South Australia scouts Garven

Prolific opening batsman Pete Young has been requested by Yorkshire County Cricket Club to replace Haakon Moerk at the top of the order and renew his role as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Young has been in excellent form in the American League and faces a decision as to whether to remain with Indiana or take an opportunity to further his first-class career. Though Young has been faithful to the Indiana CC in recent times, suggestions are that a move to Yorkshire could stir bad blood between the batsman and club.

I'd be delighted to accept the offer of FC cricket from Yorkshire.

Many thanks to Indiana for their patience with me and the opportunity to play off-season cricket at their wonderful club. I look forward to returning next year if the circumstances permit and they will have me.

Can't decide if the bad blood would be between me and Indiana or me and Yorkshire.

Interesting. From scanning I thought I was having an average OD club season but the stats show me as the leading wickettaker with the 2nd best average of main bowlers.
