I was surprised by some of the personalities to be honest. I wasn’t expecting some players to have certain personality traits etc etc

Like my cricket but it’s a hard watch. Watched two-and a-bit episodes so far. Too much Langer, too much bants, we have to be great blokes’ nonsense. Is this banter or just being a ****?

Or maybe he didn't realise what had happened. It's probably the most bizarre incident I've seen in an international match tbh. No appeal, huge stoppage, Langer didn't really say anything at all. Simply bizarre. There's a hundred better ways to cheat someone out of a wicket or disrupt their concentration.

Yeah that pretty much sums him up imho. Pretty good insight into the dressing rooms though. I want to see an Indian one with Kohli coming back form the toss and Shastri saying "I think this looks like a good track, Virat. How about you?"

I loved how pissed Khawaja was at Langer's "out in the nets you're out" logic. I thought part of nets was to try things you wouldn't in a match until you've mastered them.

No wonder Langer dropped Khawaja as he dared to openly question his methods

It was clear how Langer hated being challenged by Khawaja. Usman would've had to have scored a truckload of runs to stay in the side, the way he openly hit back against things Langer was doing. I enjoyed the part where Langer said he loved it that Khawaja had a voice, but it was clear he actually hated it.

It's a really good documentary, a lot of insight into a lot of people. Cummins, absolute champion over and above what I already thought. Lyon, bumbling muppet (his commentary stints confirmed this). Langer, Tony Robbins wannabe (so cringe - if he hadn't played 100 Tests for his country, he would've been fired within the first season). Finch, great bloke and determined character. Paine, absolutely outstanding leader.

Whatever it takes!!!
I really do not buy into this reality TV BS. The moment you put a camera around folks, they are gonna act like they are better people than they are. I saw it in the Wrestling with Shadows documentary and I have no reason to think otherwise about any of these documentaries on cricket sides - this one, or the CSK one on hotstar, or the MI one on netflix. There is no way these things are not doctored and therefore, to me, just more marketing material at the end of the day. Glorified ads.

Reality tv or not, doesn't change the fact Langer made a stupid net rule, Khawaja rightly called him on it, Khawaja never plays again. Smacks of this in Langers wilkipedia page

You come to the side of the dojo and you bow and then you walk on and get ready for the session. This day, I walked on, bowed and continued and the next thing I was on all fours, I was face down and he'd whacked me on the back of the head. I was basically spread-eagled, face down. I looked up and said, 'What did I do wrong?' He said, 'Never show me that disrespect ever again' and I was thinking, 'What have I done?'. He said: 'Well, you walked in front of me on the dojo floor, that's a sign of disrespect. I'm the teacher here, you should always walk behind me.'

Yeah anyone who thinks any form of "reality tv" is an accurate representation of anything is living in their own world
Case in point, there were many people who thought Trump had multiple brain cells after watching The Apprentice. Obviously Mark Burnett is simply an excellent producer.
