Faulkner, Aubery / Flintoff, Andrew (depending on conditions)
Gilchrist, Adam (wk)
Hadlee, Richard
Illot, Mark

Came up with this off the top of my head. E and I really, really stumped me. Fix those and we'll have a team that could challenge any alphabetical XI.

Haha, not bad.

Would like these guys to turn out for

Slater, Michael
Cook, Alistair
Amarnath, Mohinder
Nupen, Buster
Dhoni, M. S.
Imran Khan
Noble, Monty
Abdul Qadir
Verity, Hedley
Iverson, Jack
Ambrose, Curtly

though perhaps best on a matting wicket.

Matthew Elliott, Bill Edrich and Russell Endean are better than Grant Elliott. Bruce Edgar at a stretch. :)

Maybe even Dion Ebrahim

International 12th Man
Edrich, John
Newman, Scott
Grace, WG*
Leyland, Maurice
Ames, Les+
Nicholas, Mark
D'Oliveira, Basil
Trueman, Fred
Emburey, John
Anderson, James
Mullaly, Alan

Newman and Nicholas haven't played for England but have both played for England A.

Archer, Ken
Usman Khawaja
Simpson, Bob*
Trumper, Victor
Ransford, Vernon
Armstong, Warwick
Langer, Justin+
Iverson, Jack
Alderman, Terry
Nash, Laurie
Spofforth, Fred

Usman is a teenage middle order batsman who has played a few times for New South Wales in 2008. Let's just say that the pickings for Australian cricketers who's surnames start with U are very, very slim. Langer kept wicket in a few ODI games.

Worrell, Frank*
Eytle, Ernest
Sovers, Garfield
Tarilton, Percy
Ince, Harry
Nurse, Seymour
Dujon, Jeff+
Innis, Clifford
Ambrose, Curtly
Nagamotoo, Mahendra
Sammy, Darren

Eytle, Tarilton, Ince and Innis never played a test match, but each represented West Indies in tour matches. Worrell did open on a couple of occasions in tests.

I tried to do an INDIASELECT line up, but finding decent Indian cricketers who's name begins with I and E is pretty impossible (aside from Engineer).
