Sanga batted higher up the order, was much more likely to go big and scored his runs more quickly. All that trumps Border batting in a tougher era for me. So what I'm saying is Sanga wins because he was manlier.

Sanga would've averaged low 40s if he'd played in Border's time. I suspect approx. 60% of his stats are gimmicked like Goldberg's streak and who is to prove otherwise? The ten crows in the outfield that attended his games in Sri Lanka or the viewership record-shattering extravaganzas in Bangladesh and the U.A.E.? He is cricket's version of the moon landing.
