Brilliant effort, take a well-deserved break. Will be fascinated to see how this evolves over time, with the adding of the likes of the 3 Ws, and Kallis who (despite me not being a massive fan) would rate highly here I think.

Actually I'm interested in Kallis too. So I just did him. Made the top 15 but his away average of 54 hurts him compared to Dravid, and so does his 4th innings average of 42.

The criteria in this thread ranks Ponting ahead of both Lara and Tendy, though it must be said that both him and Dravid will drop before they retire.

In any case, Dravid is a bit of an anomaly, and you can ignore him because he does well in the criteria we rate highly and not so well in the ones we don't rate highly - thus giving him an inflated rating.

In my opinion, Ponting's rating might be accurate of his ability, while Dravid might just be an anomaly.

Interestingly enough, if I change the criteria and count double and triple centuries the same way I do centuries (i.e 100 = 2x50, 200 = 4x50, 300 = 6x50), the list changes:
