Arthur Mailey famously did the same thing, when choosing what he thought would be the Aust. team for an upcoming Test. His editor was none to happy when he discovered Mailey had no WK :)

Someone will tell me I shouldn't rise to you...but seriously, you are so boring. Any chance you can post something highly offensive and cop yourself a ban, you're ruining this board?

He's been banned before, it'll probably happen again.

To be fair though, haven't you done the exact same thing yourself? :p

General concensus seems to be that BingLeeElectric is Shane Warne, of last Ashes thread fame.
My mistake. I had got that; thought you were implying Geraint had previously been banned.

Look, hypocrisy is one thing, and being plain annoying is simply another :D

Seriously, if I've ever been as bad as him, then I apologise. I can get a bit carried away, but seriously...!!!! LOL

G'day all - Aussie living in London here. First message on the forum so I thought I'd go with this one, to save joining a battle/ranking thread half way through!

So I've got two teams for this one. First, my All Time Aus-Eng combined XI to take on any opponent, based on performances across their whole career against all opposition.

Jack Hobbs
Victor Trumper
Don Bradman
Walter Hammond
Denis Compton
Keith Miller
Adam Gilchrist
Shane Warne
Dennis Lillee
Sydney Barnes
Bill O'Reilly

Ian Botham (12th Man)

And secondly - a combine "Ashes" XI based purely on their performances in Australia v England Tests.

Jack Hobbs
Len Hutton
Don Bradman
Walter Hammond
Alan Border
Ian Botham
Adam Gilchrist
Shane Warne
Jim Laker
Dennis Lillee
Fred Spofforth

Keith Miller (12th Man)

The Wheel is Forever
  1. Jack Hobbs (ENG)
  2. Len Hutton (ENG)
  3. Don Bradman (AUS)
  4. Walter Hammond (ENG)
  5. Greg Chappell (AUS)
  6. Ian Botham (ENG)
  7. Adam Gilchrist (AUS)
  8. Shane Warne (AUS)
  9. Dennis Lillee (AUS)
  10. Sydney Barnes (ENG)
  11. Glenn McGrath (AUS)

12th man: Keith Miller (AUS), can fill in for either a batsman or a bowler, if needed.

5 ENG/6 AUS. I wanted to put Keith Miller in there but I went with Botham instead just because I didn't want it to be completely Aussie dominated. On ability, Miller might make it though. Anyway, I think this is a bloody good side.

I particularly like the way two Number 8's are sneaked in.

Some very good sides being selected here, with a few old timers sneaking in:happy:

One fellow who has not been mentioned is Eddie Paynter averaged 84 against the Aussies. Although he only played 7 Tests. And a rare thing for a top player for an all time England side a mollydooker. Also Frank Woolley as an AR
