Got the feeling Waqar was not good tactically. You can tell he was very dedicated and from what I read he pushed hard on fitness level which is very important. He could do well as supporting coaching role but not sure about him as head coach. Though from his leaked reports, he was basically a puppet.

What the actual **** does "subject to captaincy" even mean? Why do the PCB insist on shooting themselves in the foot? I dont think Shan is a great captain or anything but he does seem to bring some stability and build a certain loyalty within the team and those are fine building blocks to build a good side. You can have him replaced in a year or two once others have established themselves but why change something that is finally working?

I honestly think he is very bland tactically but he has kept talking about continuity and consistency in selections etc. Should at least let him do it his way instead of hanging the knife above his head like this.

Stability and PCB just don't go together. Will be surprised if the chairman lasts for a full year. Making Shan Masood the captain was a wtf decision but it would be even worse to go back on it now. I'm just glad they've stopped dropping Rizwan for Sarfraz by now.
