Marc is right, the All-Star Series is to provide those that did well this season to represent their division (or whatever we chose)

So Current Squads as they stand now only - ie No Rookies, No Transfers and Current avgs etc

Ok it looks as though this is the popular method for how the AS Series will be run..

I have posted another thread for people to vote on here

I will also be asking people to start considering their 2 players they want to put forward for selection, and also who they want to vote for to manage the sides...

I think Blewy forgot to say that One Day and Four Day Squads are different so you will need to think of 2 players (1 Batsman and 1 Bowler) for each form.

Yeah thats correct... Rich on top of it as always...
:P :P :P

We will be having 2 managers per team and the duties will be shared over the series...

So look at the managers from your region and start deciding who you want as your 2 OD managers and your 2 4D managers....

Hows this work mate, games taken in turn? or both managers need to speak to select a line up for each match?

And

Can I pick the same manager for both forms? or do they all have to be different? - Which goes onto can a manager be picked overall for both forms?

And..finally

Does the AS Series count towards players games and avg's?

Up to the managers if they want to work together they can or they can share the games do 2 each or whatever, so long as its fair and even...

A manager can only manage 1 team whether it be OD or 4D, that way everyone gets a go...

At this stage no but i am going to speak to Sriram as i think the updating of averages will be quite simple this season so we may be able to make it that way, but as it stands ATM they won't count...

Should the votes be collected by the relevant simmer for each division GB?
Marc it's probley just as easy for all the votes to go to one place (Blewy) as otherwise managers have to send some votes somewhere and other votes to a different simmer etc.

I don't know what every here is thinking, but does every think of the All Star Series being developed into an international thing. It just sounds so much cooler and funer and better than the AS series...

I think most agree that it would be fun Nibs, But the logistics of creating it are much more difficult...

The AS Series is something easy to run whilst all the info is being prepared for the draft, if we made it into a I'National competition then it would take longer then we would have people complaining that the new season was taking to long to start....

well, no it wouldn't. it wouldn't have to be a round robin, all that would be needed would be some enthusiastic people, managers who could post teams readily, and a eager simmer, who actually doesn't think simming is chore, which I do not believe it to be...

Which other method would work for it though - no other way of seeing all teams get equal chances.

Exactly like we already have you mean? :P

Eager Simmer= Someone who doesn't mind doing it and can get them out on time
Which is what we have with the All Star in previous seasons - enthusiastic managers who posted quickly and a keen simmer.
