As manager of the Academy 4D, I cant say how happy I am about that win over the UK Team. I'm sure many people regarded us to be the laughing stocks of the tournamant, and im sure we went in underdogs against the quality UK Side.

My goal going into this tourny was to win 1 game. We have done that succesfully, my next goal is not to be embaressed by Oceania or RotW Teams :)

2 Standout players for us were: A Adams, match figures of 6/92 + 52* and V Chandrasekh with that magnificent innings of 153.

As i have discovered from experience in the Academy league, dont get too ****y after a big win, it usually comes back to bite you in the **** next match.

BTW Rich - Regarding what was said in MSN, looks like i'll be having a good weekend ;)

:D - Fair play to you, that was a fine win but I still stand by what I said in that you have to be seen as the underdog's simply because you have a young and inexperianced squad compared to everyone else's 4/5 year old ones.

But I still hold some pride in that it was the Kent boys that were the stars ;)

A good first up encounter for our boys despite losing. The Oceania team are going to be the ones to beat and we pushed them all the way.
We showed a lot of fight and courage after being down after our first batting innning to then get them quickly, well done Kumble.
Then to the boys credit a fine 2nd innings effort led by star youngster Mongia, all of a sudden a superstar.
But to the Oceanians credit some top class batting from you lot and our bowlers just couldn't fire.
Things are on track still for us to reach the final thanks to a gutsy first up performance.

Great stuff Dave, we went down pretty badly but good to see the Flower's XI boys dominating!

Well i am very happy at my teams perfmroance against Oceania, losing by only 5 wickets. We never really looked much of a threat after the pitaful first innings, but we fought back well in our 2nd innings, however as i expected, oceania was the better team on the day. Great pbatting by Chandrasekh, scoring some more runs coming off his 150 last match.

We lived up to my goal which was to avoid humilation, and losing by 5 wickets to arguably the best side is definently not humiliation.

Great performance by the academy boys there, i am happy with that game even though we lost. I dont expect much from them, especially against the more favoured teams. Butwe still are giving the favourites a little scare here and there.

V Chandrasekh is on fire, 150odd in his first game, 42 odd and 60 odd lastgame, this game scores 53 and 56 to be the 2nd highest run getter in the 4D comp. Special mention to Charles who got 58, 3/34 and 3/74, great all round perforamnce by him in his first All Stars match.

Owell, was a good game and getting beat by 104 rruns is acceptable by my standards.

We can only look forward toplaying the UK boys, we thrashed them on their home soil, and i bet they want to return the favour to us. So it will be a good game. :)
