The only adequate answer here is to increase the tolerance to 90 degrees so every dodgy numpty from the usual suspect nations is allowed to play.

Personally I'd hate it, but it's better than reading "Loose Change: How the White Man Conspired to Stop the Rise to Mediocrity of The Subcontinent." *

I can't see it. I imagine it's a pretty expensive business to test a bowler, so why waste good money where there's no apparent problem?

The fifteen degree tolerance wasn't just pulled out of some scientist's arse; it's the point at which a flexion becomes visible to the naked eye, so if an action looks clean it's a fair guess it is.

& vice versa, obviously.
There is no appareant problem doesn't mean there is no problem. It's till some one challeges the system asking for the methodologies and ensuring there are control subjects in the testing.

Many biochemical tests are infact done with a control. Not needed to test every one. At least a cohort of normal actions against dodgy actions.

He definitely strikes me as someone who could pretty easily sort it out though. He doesn't bowl a doosra or even a toppy and he doesn't give it a big rip either so he's not getting any real advantage from that straightening; it's just lazy.
That was the same WTF sentiments when Senanayke was banned. Doesn't spin it a long way but the whole action is damn lazy looking even if he gets rid of the chuck. Most probably we will see him as a more side on bowler with rounder arm and with quickinsh runup and a high arm speed, so the arm will start straight earlier.

Hyper-extension is legal though. "Negative" flex doesn't count.
Abduction/Adduction at the elbow is permitted (which is regarded as hyperextension). Hyper extension proper is just extension past the straight and illegal if I understand the things correctly.

He was chucking predominately to change his length late in the delivery I believe, remedial work should be easy for him

First Ajmal, next Steyn. The teams who caused us to fall from our perch are slowly being dismantled.

Yo Aussies - you're next. I nominate Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris and well I couldn't give a ****
