AFL Draft

Virat Kohli (c)
I just realised Mike isn't taking part in this.

Any reason?

He would have probably chosen the entire Essendon 2000 premiership team

International Captain
Int: Allen Jakovich (MEL/WB)

Was absolutely brilliant when able to get on the park, if it weren't for the dodgy hamstrings could have been a superstar.

C: Dal Santo , Koutoufides, Hawkins
HF: Corey, Merrett , Schwarz
F: S.Johnson , Dunstall , Franklin

Int - Alan Didak - Coll.

Can play as a small forward or for bursts on ball. Brilliant disposal and vision and the ability to do the freakish.

Something about him makes me think he'd be the first guy on the team to sell his own mother just for the sake of it :p

Hanging with killers
He met the bloke once, when he was very drunk, and made a poor judgement in accepting a lift from the guy. Afterwards he tried to forget the whole incident. Hudson hadn't killed anyone at that stage. Could have happened to lots of people.

Much less dubious than having phone contact with bikie gang members suspected of murder that you refuse to speak with the police about a la Cousins and Gardiner or being recorded buying drugs like Kerr.

International Captain
Nathan Bock, good player who can go back on talls, rebound or go forward.

Adrian McAdam
, my sub 50-gamer, 23 goals from his first 3 games (record) then had his jaw broken and was never the same.

B: Wirrpanda, Silvagni, Smart
HB: Winmar, Roos, A. Jones
C: B. Harvey, Goodes, Akermanis
HF: B. Johnson, Richardson, B.Allan
F: O'Loughin, Hall, Loewe
R: Salmon, Hayes, Bartel
I: Simpson, Bewick, Bock, McAdam

Best team.

Backline: Silvagni, Roos, Smart and Bock if needed to take the talls, Wirrpanda on the dangerous small with Winmar and Jones providing massive run.
Mid: Hayes and Bartel with Simpson and Allan rotating through winning the contested ball giving it to Goodes, Harvey and Akermanis who deliver it lace out. Salmon in the ruck with Loewe and Goodes giving chop-outs.
Forward: Richo and Loewe taking big grabs with Hall scaring ****s and kicking goals, O'Loughin, Johnson, Bewick and McAdam a deadly team lurking around the packs.

My last pick and sub 50 gamer:
Int: Jack Anthony (Coll)
Kicked 50 goals in his second year playing AFL, will provide another option to put up forward and free up Watson more to go in the middle, or give Madden/Ottens more time to get a breather on the bench. As the number three tall, rather than number one, could be quite dangerous with his accurate kicking. Alternatively, he's played most of his sub-AFL footy as a key back, so could be an option there as well.

Jesus, just pick Andrew Tranquili or Whatshisname Sharkey. Did just as much against quality opponents.

Meh, better than picking some guy who's body wasn't up to the strains of AFL footy. "oh, he looked great, but it turned out his knee went everytime he changed direction - will be a useful addition.". As I said, the guy has kicked 50 goals in his only full season and is an excellent shot at goal. He'll add some flexibility and hopefully force his opponent to mark him closely, or else get under teams guards.

Underrated player (IMO) who can rotate through the midfield or fill in down back.
