Not sure why Kohli needs another 3 years. He’s already had a more impressive career. AB was retired at this stage of Kohli’s career.
Yeah, but I think ABD performed better all around (especially in England) and Virat's last 5 years definitely do him more harm than good.

Probably De Villiers, a 55 away average is hard to be toppled by a 42 away average, I'm pretty sure without the opening matches De Villiers has a much better general average too

Before judging remember one thing...

Kohli hardly faced quality spinners. Herath, Vettori, Swann, Lyon, Panesar who else ??. AB has faced Murali, Jadeja, Ashwin, Harbhajan, Herath, Ajmal, Abdur Rehman in sub continent and faced Lyon, Panesar, Vettori and Swann.

AB has faced more great fast bowlers as well.
Abd hardly faced atg fast bowlers except Anderson and McGrath whom he faced at beginng of his career

The comparison is between AB ans VK. AB obviously faced better bowlers.

AB has faces Murali in Srilanka and was the leading run scorer for South Africa in the series.

AB faced Warne and McGrath in 2005 in Australia. He opened the innings facing the new ball and faced both Lee and McGrath comfortably. But yeah Warne ****ed him though.

Kohli didn't face any ATG bowler except Steyn and Anderson.
