yea why not ? ive faced Birkenhead Senior Cricketers who are in the Premiers of the Auckland Club Competition and there are guys who ball 125+kmph agarkar hits that mark... Im not saying i will hit him for six.. hell no.. thats the biggest challenge of my life yet.. to consistently hit a six.. but i would still not back down from facing him because ive been through it..

Oh the I in Aids comes from International .. sorry missed that out...

Agarkar is a very talented and able player.

my critisicm stands just.. i might appreciate when he does well but im critical when he does bad.. cause as an international cricketer you cant really be as inconsistent as ajit agarkar has been.. when youve reached a level of that heights.. how the hell did you get there ? if you end up with figures of 10-0-61-0 in a match? or a similar pattern for the rest..

So what if he played a number of games? i dare someone to prove if hes been consistent any time..he could have got into the team through politics and all..i know it could work like that there..

As i have said earlier, Agarkar doesnt deserve a place in Indian team particulary when India has awesome upcomming fast bowlers like Balaji, Salvi, Irfan Pathan etc.

Of course, not knowing anything about the bowlers in question, I couldn't comment, but, thats an all class statement. :P

I saw Balaji bowl in the test against NZ and he didn't look much more than a seam-up swing bowler. The ball which he got Vincent on a no-ball with was a beauty but other than that, I saw nothing special in his bowling. Time will tell, I guess.

Time cant help him.. if he ends up with 1 wicket in a match.. i think he will be switched with Salvi..i know its cruel.. he bowled well for a newbie..but really i doubt i could judge him fully if he made his debut in the subcontinent.. another country could tell a different story

I'm glad Agarkar has been selected to replace Salvi. It would be stupid to continue with Balaji when India has to win the 2nd test. Agarkar would be so much better.

There shldn't have been any doubts about that in the first place. In the absence of Nehra, when 2 seamer's are reqd, Agarkar should be the one to play with Zaheer.
