Hayden Kerr in the BBL final tonight with a very strong effort.
I think he’s in the gf. Will struggle to find a more woeful performance. The retiring hurt when he’d already killed all the momentum with the ball and bat was just the cherry on top.

I know Harris is the gold standard because he produced it on the biggest stage over a whole series, but this from Kerr was world class tonight.

Mitchell Marsh. 4, 0 and seven expensive over while the other fast bowlers flogged themselves into the ground, said bowlers also helping score runs that he didn't.

Chin Music

State Vice-Captain
Ashley Giles dropping Ponting in Adelaide, especially as he was brought in because his all round game offered more than Panesar, the more threatening bowler.

Saying that, Panesar's fielding was so bad that if he wasn't contributing with the ball he was a negative factor in the field. Even when he wasn't dropping catches in comical fashion, like off Mahela in Galle 2012, he had to be hidden in the field as his ground-fielding was Sunday league at best. Not only did it cost the team runs, it sapped morale. He is the only non-keeper I can recall who warranted dropping because of his fielding rather than his primary skill (as he was in that SL tour, with England winning the second test in Colombo a week later).
I know I am replying nearly two years after you posted this, Ali, but I remember being present that game at Galle simply because I was there in person. Not only was he dreadful in the field, but he was bowling 60mph darts which were utterly ineffective against that Sri Lanka batting lineup. Of course when I mentioned it back on 247, Sanskritsimon would go apoplectic with rage, regardless of the accuracy of the comment. It was a beautiful venue, Galle, although it was stiflingly hot.
