I've only seen the first quarter so far but the skills on display were so good, though the goal kicking accuracy was ordinary. Wish I went. Disagree with Fuller though, thought it was quite intense and some of the tackles and putting the body on the line for the ball stuff was much more than I had expected there'd be. Could have gone downhill after the first though.

Rutten gets left one out all the time and consistently beats guys like Brown. Had a terrible game last night though, might not have been totally fit.
All the time is a massive stretch.

Don't get me wrong, I like Rutten and I do enjoy watching Adelaide play, but Rutten gets more help from other defenders than Glass and Scarlett do.

Yeah I agree with that, but that's not to say he's never one out, because he often is. The reason Rutten concedes less goals than other full backs in the AFL as a rule is because he gets a lot of assistance from other defenders. I don't see that as a slight on Rutten really, it's because Adelaide has the best defensive structure going. Nevertheless, when he does get one out he's still very good, and generally has had the better of Brown in particular. The only forward I've seen really comprehensively beat Rutten before last night is Pavlich a couple of seasons back, and that includes setups where for one reason or another (usually more tall options in the forward line) Rutten has to spend more time one out.

Didn't Buddy bath him earlier this year? Or was Bock on him?

Was mostly Bock, only really bad game he's played this season, though Franklin isn't the worst player in the world I guess. Rutten was mainly on Roughead, although he may have switched later, I didn't watch all of that game. Craig usually uses Rutten on Roughead against the Hawks just because he plays closer to goal, anyway. Bock, Stevens and Massie have all taken Franklin before.
