I thought I misheard the news when they said Brown was 15,000 out of pocket after the tribunal thing. I understand where theyre coming from, but ffs... it was Juddy!!

Ricciuto's retired. Pretty sad way to end his career, but hopefully he'll get to play at least one more game.

Best ever Crows player, hands down.

Big call on the best ever Crows player. Might go Modra or Mcleod although wouldn't argue too strongly against Ricciuto and 300+ games. Always been criminally underrated. Anyways, sad day, seemed like only yesterday he was still carving it up tbh.

McLeod's a magnificent player and all, but Ricciuto has generally taken on more difficult roles IMO, and his peak as a midfielder was longer. McLeod's definitely more of a match winner on his day, but Ricciuto was quite capable of dominating a game as well, and was generally more consistent.

Ricciuto and McLeod would be the top two fairly comfortably, with Modra probably third.

Haha, no way Modra's their best ever player. Maybe an "icon", but not their best every player. Ben Hart > Modra.

And yeah, I'm with Fuller. Riccuito is their best ever player, just tips out Matthew Liptak and Trent Ormond-Allen.

The only reason he isn't for mine is the lack of games, which I rate very, very highly in determining the worth of a player to a club. Yeah he was an icon, but that term sometimes muddles up how good players really were. Anyways, futile exercise with such a young club that's always had strong sides without many stars.

Yeah, Ben Hart is criminally underrated, and I'm inclined to agree on Modra. He is certainly Adelaide's best ever key forward and a one of the "greats" of the club, but he's not clear cut for the top three by any means. Guys like Hart, Bickley and so on were comparable and had much longer periods of strong contribution.

I'd rate him up there, but he really only had five or so strong years, and by that criteria you'd include Rehn and Jarman as well.

Ricciuto and McLeod are easily their 2 best ever players. You can argue both, depends on what you define as a better player, consistency over a long long period, or match-winning brilliance and performing on the big stage more often. Its fairly futile, and for all we know McLeod could have 2-3 years of brilliance left in him.

Ben Hart is 3rd IMO, extremely underrated and a great servant. Then I'd have Modra. Bickley was very very solid, but Modra was the better Crows player for what he did in his peak had a bigger affect on the club than Bickley's consistency, and even leadership. That's only my opinion though, and I am fairly biased towards Modra since he was a dead set legend.

Darren Jarman's an interesting one, considering he was so prevalent in their GF wins.

Btw Pasag, I only think Ricciuto is underrated here in Melbourne because of Buckley, Voss and Hird. When in reality, Ricciuto and Robert Harvey deserve to be side by side with those three.
