There are only three players that you could possibly trade off for the #2 pick. Remember this has been hyped up as a superdraft, similar to the calibre of 2001 with Hodge, Ball and Judd.

You're not getting rid of Fev, Whitnall or Marc Murphy... and they're the only players any team would consider for their first round pick.
That is indeed why I want to get all the draft picks. it wasn't a serious comment, you'd have to be a Fremantle recruiting manager to trade off a top 10 pick in this draft

Personally, I think we need a tall backman, CHB, and this draft is full of big key position players who can play forward and back (Thorp, Hansen, Gumbleton), but by God, if we get the #1 pick, Gibbs will be wearing a Carlton shirt without a doubt. He's around 190cm so it's not like he's small (a la Murphy), and can you imagine Murphy and Gibbs running around together?

Anyway, my tips for the weekend. I'm S.T.Ruggling so I'll throw caution to the wind and tip Carlton. I'm on the "No Jonathan Brown, No Brisbane" bandwagon...

Essendon continue to suck.

There is a strong chance they will do an exact mirror image of their 2000 season. Instead of 21-1, this season could be 1-21.

Yeah he's a very promising player. One of my mates who is a die hard Essendon fan told me at the start of last year that Stanton was going to be a gun, and he was very good last year. 3rd in Essendon's b&f or something.

Quick question, is McPhee ever going to be as good as he was in 2004?

At the moment i don't think him and Solomon are fully fit. I just think we should rest them for the rest of the year and keep binging in youngsters like Lee. Think its time a young player by the name of Ben Jolley gets a game he has been very good for Bendigo all year and plays a similar way to Kirk and he even managed 16 tackles in a game a couple weeks back. All we can look forward to is the end of the season and the Draft.

Come on down Bryce Gibbs or Scott Gumbleton :)

Geelong are pathetic. At least I didn't tip them this time.

Thompson should be sacked and Ron Watt appointed caretaker.

The two biggest losses I've seen following Geelong in a year we were "premiership favourites". Disgraceful.

On the plus side Tom Hawkins, son of Jumpin Jack who is a power CHF in the Jon Brown mould, won the medal for the best player in the u-18 championships.
