Lewis seemed to be really overhyped as a Brownlow chance. Super consistent, but didn't think that he was regularly the clear best player for the Hawks.

Having failed to secure tickets for the GF, I've decided to take the kidlets to the SCG and watch the game on the big screen there. Should be decent atmosphere.

Yep, the Swans just didn't bring it at all, unusually. Well done Hawthorn though. A terrific side and worthy Premiers.

Bondi billionaires don't matter when the ball doesn't get in there. Sydney midfield did not show up other than Kennedy. Incredible really.

BARNES OUT
Have been wondering about this the last few hours after the comments Bruce made at the siren, who do you guys consider the side of the "modern era" (say, since 2004 or whatever. Last ten years), Geelong or Hawthorn? Collingwood, Swans and even St Kilda threatened, obviously not enough though.

Thought it was an interesting enough question.

Really depends how much value you put on back-to-back. Its almost a dead heat, but whilst the Hawks went back-to-back and the Cats never did, you can argue that the Cats never missed finals since the end of the Swans/Eagles era, whereas the Hawks did in 2009.
