A.F.L. Thread II

Calm down Cass, was tongue in cheek. And besides, I thought that as a Pies fan, the consensus here was tha I wasn't a decent human being anyway ;)
I'll take your word for it.

Have to say, the pointy end of the 2007 draft isn't looking so special at the moment. Kreuzer looks the goods, but he's going to miss a year now and with an injury that is tough to come back from. Cotchin and Masten struggle to stay on the park too, Cale Morton is first round material but doesn't look like a top 5 pick, that and he's as hard as Aeroplane jelly. David Myers doesn't even know who David Myers is and Rhys Palmer is a hack.

Funnily enough, the one everyone scratched their heads at at the time was Jarrad Grant, and he deadset looks the goods now.

To be somewhat conciliatory after indulging in a bit of Bay 13 stuff recently Zac, I was impressed with Rattan tonight on the telly, he came across pretty well I thought. Will be interesting to see whether Warnock can stand up and deliver on the tidy sum he's being paid in coming weeks.
Haha, I'm enjoying it

Yeah, we can cover the hole in the ruck and if Setanta is back the forward line will look a lot better (who would have thought you could post something like that even a year ago) and if Murphy is back Gibbs can solidify defence, it's just all the much improved players this year are regressing. Joseph thinks he's superman and keeps running into opposing players, Russell meh, Thornton could be the worst player in the league, your man Scotland isn't doing well and Carrazzo still gets 1000 possessions a game but all of them crap.

The BIG elephant in the room is Judd's ball skillz. Looks faster and fitter but his kicking has been ordinary this year. Still winning us games singlehandedly but nowhere near his silky best.

Re: Casson - Palmer is definitely not a hack. Is coming back from a knee reco though, so will need some time to get 100% again.

Nah Cotchin is a gun. Better to have a few injuries in year 1 and 2 then have that **** in the middle of your career.

The kid will be amazing.

Not saying otherwise, he definitely looks to have the most talent from that draft by miles if you ask me - but he has struggled to get on the park, there's no two ways about that.

Haven't ever heard any movement to get rid of them, and I'm pretty sure that the players association wouldn't allow it.
I'm not saying that they should or are they looking to scrap it. More of a hypothetical situation, if it were to happen, what would be the result.

OUT: Cotchin (leg)

The most frustrating thing to see. Wtf is 'leg'?

Seen that way too much in his career so far.

Built up a great partnership with Martin lately. The clearance kings.

When he learns to kick at goal consistently (and he's already improving)... will be just amazing.

Richmond have one win left in the bank to get a priority pick.

Since we don't play Essendon, would love it to be against either North or Collingwood. Will rub it in both you bastards' faces forever.

Collingwoods last 20 years have been pretty harmless itbt.
Meh, we've won a lot of games of footy in that time and been in the finals regularly. Obviously we haven't won a flag, and it would be lovely to be able to say that we had, but I find it hard to be too disappointed about having a decent team that has generally put in 100% out on the park and won a lot more than it lost over the past decade.

Plus we've been financially successful and not had to compromise on stuff like our jumper, selling games interstate etc.
