TOM BOYD!
Gen Y runs the clubs. Blokes who have achieved nothing in their career telling clubs what to do. Amazing.
Dont remember Tom Boyd weighing in on marketing issues tbh
Oi Spikey acknowledge my witty reply to your ****ty joke.Griffen left the Dogs after they changed their logo. Proof that Gen Y runs marketing too.
His hot take on this doesn't actually criticise the thing that should be criticised imo. Essendon certainly deserve some criticism for this little mess, but the criticism should be built around the fact that recently drafted 18yo kids were so obviously not part of the programme, so their exclusion for these games would have protected nobody's identity, which was the whole reason behind the "No 2012 players" thing. These guys never should have been in line to miss these games, and they never should have needed to approach the coaches to play these games (non should they have needed the leadership group to tick off on this). One of these guys, elliott kavanagh, has supposedly complete his first injury free pre-season, and the prospect of him missing these games because of some misguided belief that doing so protected the identities of the guys with notices was bull**** insane. It was an incredibly stupid thing for Essendon to almost allow happen. Just terrible, terrible decision making. Their inclusion for these games are not a sign of 'breaking ranks' or any nonsense, but the whole process was terribly handled. Again. They also should not have dropped this little piece of information 2 days before the game.
