Pretty much because of CW, really. Read the thread, my interest was piqued and took the plunge.

It's kind of a hard sport to get into for the uninitiated, especial when one's used to codes with an offside rule, but one comes away whistling the physicality of the players. Chaps really put in a shift.

&, as with most things, it starts to make more sense after a while. Eurosport 2 up here carries a couple of games and has a magazine type round up weekly.

If you enjoy it on TV, you need to catch a game at the ground as it is far better

It is pretty amazing as you can see the play develop up the ground and some of the guys are incredible athletes

no injury on the play, in part because Goodes wasnt moving very fast. if he made contact at the sort of pace you'd expect Ziebell to be going at, he would have been out for ages

Thought it was pretty similar to the Collingwood player (Young?) on Chapman earlier in the year, with less impact. From memory that was only a reprimand.
