A.F.L. Thread II

As an NRL fan I hate Monday night footy with a passion, it serves no benefit to anybody, its **** as a fan having to wait through the weekend, creates a short turnaround for the following round and my biggest beef is that crowds for monday nights are always and always will be ****. I see know reason to play a game on a monday night when theres a perfectly good saturday arvo slot that everyone loves.

I see no reason for the NRL or AFL to try and play games in funky time slots like thursdays and mondays, its ****ing stupid, especially in the NRL where we are already struggling to draw crowds, wtf is appealing about going to the footy on a monday night, nothing. nothing at all. monday night footy is in my top 3 issues with the game and possibly my top one. every NRL fan sighs when they see that their team is playing on a monday night.

**** monday night footy.
Traditionally, and this year once more, crowds on Mother's Day have been putrid. I don't really want it regularly, like we see in the NRL, but I think as a one off people enjoy it, and it solves the Mother's Day issue to some extent.

Yeah, probably is. Again, don't mind it in small doses. Think it's a smart solution for this weekend.

Makes it a bit of an event, a turn off though if it was too often.

if you're kicking out after a point, and the umpire calls play on, do you still need to kick it to your self?

Its ridiculous that I'm only on 46 tips here whereas on footytips.com.au I'm on 51 tips.

And I know exactly why that is. I always make my lame-ass last-minute tip changes here a few minutes before the game, whereas I never bother logging in and making any last-minute changes in footytips.com.au. Whilst these changes sometimes work out (see Freo over Gold Coast) they generally are **** (see Tigers over Freo, Port over Tigers etc.).

So basically what I am saying is Morgie can you change my score to 51.

What do Asians like?"
"Uhhh, Anime?"
"YEAH"
Lolz.

BTW, NRL can get away with monday night football more easily compared to AFL due to the time that the game finishes. NRL is finished by 8:45 while the Saints win didn't happen until after 10.

From a TV viewpoint, Monday night is awesome and makes the week between games shorter. I think with the AFL having to schedule 9 games on a weekend, there is room for a Monday night game, but I haven't looked at crowd figures or anything.
