Question - has there ever been more attention, excitement and intrigue over a guy who hasn't played a match in the highest level of professional sport yet?

So by that, I am not including K Hunt and Folau as they played at the highest level in rugby league.

Its amazing really just how big the build up is for this guy. Exciting times, the bloke could very well change our game.

Apologies I meant in the AFL, but used "professional sport" to remove Hunt and Folau.

Obviously internationally is a different ball game altogether. But for AFL I can't remember a player like Daw getting so much attention prior to playing professional sport at any level.
