It's not a great thing to lose him, but nor is it the world's biggest disaster, especially considering that you get to trade for him.

I would guess the Gold Coast would be the club if the deal existed but nothing has been said about it in the local media. The Crows were aware last time he signed that he was interested in going to the Gold Coast and was offered big bucks to do so. As a result he got overpaid by about 200k a year even though he wasn't the best player on the Adelaide list.

They'd be prepared to do it if they could get Viney in the second round, IMO.

I think they feel that they desperately need some players from places that have been successful, hence looking at the two Pies boys and Shannon Byrnes.
