I reckon that 90-odd he made as an opener against us in the 4th inning of the match at the Gabba…if they could have won that, it would have been one of his best

He's pretty good, aye.

Not his toughest runs nor most impressive series, but I remember how crushingly inevitable he was back in the 2017/18 Ashes. Just felt like England had nothing whatsoever that could stop him in those conditions then. The batsman really was too good for the bowlers.
