They did, though Aus was missing McGrath. At peak all decent pacers though Jones will break down and they lack a leader. Over the 10 matches, think their bowling will turn out to be the worst.
If Jones breaks down, sure. I am assuming him fit for both series.

That SSF pace attack of Donald / Pollock / DeVillers is bloody awesome. When Klusenr and Kallis are back up, and you can get Big Mac too iin there, it is a complete bowling jaggernaut. It is as good as the WI pace attack of 80s

SA would be favourites with India 2nd

England would need some Harmison's 7/12 spells and would ideally be able to pick Thorpe

Klusener averaged 38 in tests, so he's not really a good backup.

Here is how I see it going down:

SA vs India: SA 3-1, thanks to more consistency from their batting but each win is hard fought.

SA vs Eng: 2-2, England manage to pull above their weight as SA choke when faced with an opportunity to win the series.

India vs Eng: India 2-1, England weakness against spin and the slower wickets hamper their pace attack.

I'd back the NZ WTC winning side to beat both England and India over 5 tests in the Windies, but lose to SA.

Conway
Latham
Williamson (c)
Taylor
Nicholls
Watling (wk)
De Grandhomme
Jamieson
Southee
Wagner
Boult

Wider squad: Young, Mitchell, Blundell, Santner, Henry, Ajaz, Rachin

England beats them on those WI wickets IMO thanks to reverse.

You mean for the 2 matches the 3 played together?
Just like that famed Marshall, Holding, Garner and Roerts attack.

However the OP doesn't conaider the twmporal factor. Kallis started in very late 90s and so was Klusener and Pollock. Their peaks didn't coincide with Cronje or Cullinan.
